interesting... possibly the natural sugars are just high enough to have that effect?

still makin my way thru the new book - so far has been alright... nothing completely new so far but he does mention a few other books which discuss physical immortality... he also mentions spiralling and resveratrol but not grape juice... at least not yet

Yeah, it's fattening because it's insanely high in sugars! I think if one eats a lot of fruit or drink juices, one ought to refrain from eating high fat foods and high carb foods - otherwise (at least for me) it's a request for weight gain! Unfortunately, I can't manage my weight and drink the grape juice - but I am a huge believer in resveratrol. Did you know there's a book called the "The Grape Diet" (or something similar), anyways, it's all about how healthy grapes are and when used as a sole source of energy - it can heal cancers and such.

Other sugars don't affect my weight. I don't count calories at all. But it's just something about grape juice.

Yeah, I don't count my calories either, and frankly, I refuse to "diet." I do however eat healthy (for me that means no junk foods at all) and pay attention to my moods, and my overall feel after eating meals and certain foods. Plus, I workout ("I WORK OUT!" love that song....
Anyways, I bought some grape seed extract yesterday on my lunch break, and I think it's really good stuff considering I get most of the benefits without the calories (gosh, I hate even using that word).

The Edgar Cayce readings! A.R.E. HQ was nearby in Virginia Beach...

Maybe Linda had an interest in his health readings?

"Several grape phytonutrients are now believed to play a role in longevity. At the top of the list in this area of research is resveratrol (a stilbene phytonutrient present mostly in grape skins, but also in grape seeds and grape flesh). Resveratrol has recently been shown to increase expression of three genes all related to longevity. (These three genes are SirT1s, Fox0s, and PBEFs.) Interestingly, some researchers have shown a parallel between activation of these longevity genes by resveratrol and activation by calorie-restricted diets. In aging and longevity research, our ability to get optimal nutrition for the fewest possible amount of calories is related to our longevity, and the more we can decrease our calories while staying optimally nourished, the better our chances of healthy aging and longevity."

Edgar Cayce recommended 1/2c. grape juice mixed with 1/2c. water before meals. He reasoned many health benefits for doing so. Quite interesting, indeed.

Grape juice is usually made from concentrate with water added.

Hi Randall....I was thinking about you and your struggle with Welch's grape juice and how you said it would make you gain weight. A thought came to me to suggest to you to take Tonalin CLA with the Welch's grape juice. CLA burns away the unwanted fat. Also, I started spiraling last night and realized that I needed to go back to my vegetarian diet. Somehow my body was in agreement. It didn't protest so I'm happy about it. It was a bit inspired by you somehow and other physical immortals. And somehow the grape juice is a key ingredient to help the spiraling and to aid in that sweet smelling that only one can smell and not other people can smell. When I smell that smell I know my body is regenerating. It is perhaps the nectar of the gods and why Jesus turn water into wine.

Good bump. I missed your response. I think I can drink it now and not gain weight, but I have no idea why.

I'm glad you're able to drink it now. CLA does help with gaining muscle and burning fat. And thanks for the suggestion about Vitamin D and hair loss. I notice that my Vitamin D level was close to the low side. Also, you had made a suggestion on a Vitamin book that may be helpful for me. Thanks!

Haven't had grape juice in a while. I think it lowers blood pressure also.

Thanks Randall! Really appreciate it. You have a lot of helpful suggestion. I started this Life Health Style class that helps me with tracking with what I eat and they'll do some tests on me to see if my symptoms will get better and heal whatever it is that's causing my issues.

I think it is because of what Grapes represent and are capable of.

There are many allusions in the Bible, "I am the Vine, and Ye are the Branches" especially comes to mind.

As a sort of Hereditary Spirituality Flow.

Also the Transformative Qualities inherent.

If you think of the Grape and it's MetaMorphosis into a Spiritual State (Wine, Courvoisier) and then compare that to the Transfiguration or even to the Journey of the Soul, you will see the Immortality Expressed Therein.

You might even think of the Quest for the Reincarnation of Osiris in this fashion.

You're just making that an Integral Part of YourSelf, Rising to a Higher State.

The Spirit is in the Blood, you become One with That Which is Eternal.

There was a time I suggested to a Vintner that I met that the incorporation of Gum Arabic be used as it is an Acacia, and that is a Symbol of Eternal Life in some Teachings.
