Hey Mirage,
Sorry for the super late reply- haven't been feeling so well in the love department. I looked at my transits/progressions and it seems like Pluto is htting me pretty bad ( Tr Pluto conjunct Mercury in 5th house and Progressed Venus conjunct Pluto). But that's not all (like the salesman from oxiclean said; I have Neptune transiting my 7th house and in a bit Pluto will be conjunct my Venus. What else- Uranus square Venus (though it's seperating) Time to play dead.

Well all that aside, you're right about my getting the point across with my mom's bf. And to be honest, I feel like it worked because everytime he does speak about another religion I don't feel that tinge of hatred (same could be said about my mom).

I can't wait until December 5th- I will go on my third retreat with more of my family members. Exciting!!! Have you ever gone on a retreat? They're absolutely wonderful (I feel much more at peace when I'm closer to God). My goal for this one is to finally let myself go and rest in His arms.

The good news is that I have some very good transits coming up (imo) Jupiter trine Mercury, Venus, MC. The Jupiter trine Venus is an exact 0 degree orb on the day I get results for colleges. It has to be good news right? Especially if I get lazy afterwards.

Another thing- I noticed on the bottom of the Forever 21 bag it says John 3:16 so when I went off to read it; says God loves us so much he sent us his son and those of us who believe in him will not fall from the path but will have eternal life. Pretty interesting to see this at the bottom of a clothing store bag haha!

I was just checking out the first link you posted for me and oh my goodness. I love it! Like you, I have a whole new way of looking at the cross! It makes so much sense. And its strange because crosses are what we use for cleansing- I have them all over my home. I will finish reading later today as Im getting sleeping. Awesome thread though!!!!

And it seems that im in the wrong forum haha! Hope you don't mind Randall.

I don't agree that you are in the wrong forum. Religion is about immortality, is it not?

Letha!!! What a nice surprise.
As I said before, don't sweat longer lapses between replies. As you see, I do that too. Many of us do.

I enjoyed your oxiclean salesman impression-- AND, wait! there's ~more!

'Time to play dead?' O you're a riot!!!

Looks like a lot of lessons around communications and love. Like suddenly it's all focused its rays on YOU. Little pressure-cooker... That's when you really want to cultivate that Love inside of you, keep it alive. Nourish your love of God and love yourself inwardly too, so that you'll 'be able to stand in the evil-transit day' LOL! (You recognize the scripture? STAND! from Ephesians.. Having done all? ) when the 'press' is on, you'll learn what the oil is about.

(music) Stand (Donnie McClurkin, lyrics) [5:20] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuMLBhrKHsA

That priest we had was 'on loan' to us from India (Bombay?). He went back after Labor Day. What a Beautiful man... I will miss him. Maybe someday we will see him become a Cardinal, or a Pope-- is what I thought. Young, with high caliber spirituality.

You had mentioned about 7/19, does that mean anything... It didn't before, but it does for me now. I pulled out the church bulletin I had in a stack of papers, and that was the week I found the church I've been going to for daily Mass. So it's now an anniversary time.

It's good. Gets me out and socializing. Also excellent spiritual practice. I don't hold back to them about my interest in astrology, and I've been relating spiritual symbols and scriptures. I have a very very conservative woman starting to ask me questions. They are conscious about it now. I feed them tiny bites when portals of opportunity open, and they can 'see' how I live my Heart.

It opens them to new views, and causes them to ask questions because I'm not your ~usual person. Heh heh, I've got Venus Quintile Uranus natally. I DO ~weird, and somehow?, people find it works for them too. Conservative way to enliven the status quo. Just enough ~weird that they 'get it'! and we can all feel freer and enjoy each other.

So, I hope you're still rockin' there in that front pew? Ha ha, I actually thought of you at a 'modern' Mass I happened to go to.

And I hope you receive that good piece of news you're waiting on about your college...

See ya next time! Be Blessed

Wow!!! Helloooo Letha!

Thanks sooo much for your Easter Greetings!

I thought about you during Holy Week (and said prayers). On Easter, I had intended to post a message to you here also.

Yes, it's been a while! Please, no embarrassment-- to either of us!

Thank you Randall for the bump!

@mirage- I've been busy with college applications in the fall so I kind of left astrology aside for a bit. I reread one of your posts and realized something. I placed my faith in God, but I forget to put him first.
Have been kind of sad lately. I got rejected/waitlisted from most of the colleges I really wanted to go to. I thought I would get good news with all these great transits I have atm ( Jupiter trine Mc, trine Mercury, trine Venus and Pluto trine Mc). I'm not sure if there's a possibility for change in the near future (I'm going to try to appeal some decisions). Why all the good transits and I still feel this way? I prayed so much too. Blame it on the Tr Chiron sextile Venus and Uranus square Venus ?

It's kind of interesting how things turned out considering the question I first asked in this thread. A lesson perhaps?

Anyways even though I didn't get into an excellent school I did get into a great all-girls school. Maybe I'll be in France next September (when I have a Jupiter trine sun tr)?

Writing is really cathartic! Sorry I kind of rambled on about myself here.

Letha.. I saw you post in astro2.0.

I was thinking of bumping this thread for our yearly Holy Week greetings.

I send you Love and Wishes for a Great Easter! and a Wonderful Year ahead.

It's my 30 year anniversary today-tomorrow 13-14 of the lucid dream where I had a Conversion experience that changed my life.

{And I REALLY appreciate having someone else here too who is a person of Faith.}

I love it that this section of LL deals with Immortality.....

In a parallel, if I may draw it---
This person born as a man with all the flaws that flesh can inbody, Jesus Christ, was able to publically Prove transcending the flesh (including fighting the ego) and in a Whole way, even his body took on Immortality. A Glorified State of Being...

A Human Divine, Divinely Human...

He was 'familiar' with our frailties (all of them), our infirmities and discomforts (flesh and psyche realms), and HAD that Transcendent Experience. His soul went to hell, and when he arose, his Body was Glorified and changed to Immortality too! He appeared to many witnesses afterwards, touchable, even tangibly eating meals with them, as well as walking through stone walls.

His MOLECULES soooo FULL-filled with the Substance of what LOVE is.

LOVE is the 'Space-holder' between our world's physical meta-physical molecules!

Hey Mirage,

It's so nice to hear from you. It really has been a while. I hope that you have a wonderful Easter weekend. This is truly a magical time of the year. I always feel it in the air. Holy Week started with beautiful/perfect weather last Sunday. It rained on Wednesday (which was great in itself)- but most days were really warm. Unfortunately I can't spend the weekend with my mother since I'm in college, but I have been going to mass anyway.

I am so happy that despite being away from my arch Catholic mother, I have still been attending mass every Sunday (and even participating as lector a couple of times). I always pray that God doesn't let me deviate from my faith and roots (it's working!). Every time I go to mass I feel rejuvenated after a long week of school work and regular work-study.

-----
I do find it interesting that we ended up in the topic/thread of immortality. Love is certainly the way to attain it - if it's in this life or whatever comes after it.

I wondered about it for a long time too. I have faith in Jesus and in the Bible and I pray too but I am not part of any church or I do not participate in Christianity socially as I do not have the same view about God than catholic church has.
Also, I believe other religions have truth too.

From my view... this things are like a hamer. You can use it to build a table or you can use it so harm someone.

I understand why christiamity is against it. Because indeed it can be used to increase fear. The oposite of faith and love is fear. The oposite of loving life is feeling afraid about future and not trusting your own heart and intuition.

Plus... sometimes its ok to go throught hard things because even if its mot pleasant it may make you grow and make you a better person. Even make you have an stronger faith in God.

And probably those things would happen anyway either if you are afraid of it or not. So its better to take it with an smile and not with fear.

And the only thing which may remove those bad things is growing into forgiveness and love and faith.
So... from this view, trying to know your future its harmfull and makes you wanna control life and makes you worried instead of just trustimg God and yourself.

On the other hand I believe that maybe if you are enlightened enough you can use that ancient windsom of astrology and tarot, for good purposes.

Tarot cam be used to understand better a present situation. Like... to see your present life transalted into simbols.

Or to awake your own intuition. Astrology also can be used to understand yourself better. To know your good and bad tendencies and work on it.

And maybe if you are in a point in your life when you have a very strong faith and you are fearless you may be able to know some things which are going to happen and not be harmed or afraid because of it.

So I think its all about how it is used. Even christian faith may be missused. I got to know people in catholic churches who says Jesus speaks throught them and wanna control others lifes.
They are missusing something even if they may not have bad intentions.
Then there are these amazing chirstians who are just spreading love and bringing lots of light to this world.

It depends.

I think God sees things in a deeper way. Like... what efects what you do is causing to people and to yourself, instead of if you use astrology or if you are from one religion or from another.

Its my opinion.

Lots of blessings!
