Aselzions Quote
5) As one pointed out, we cannot judge a
person until we have walked a mile in their moccasins... (and even then, if God isn't judging us, who are we to judge each other?)it is very easy to sit back and cast aspersions, but it is another thing entirely to open the Mind/Soul/Heart enough to have compassion for those in a particular situation.

After reading all the posts on this subject this seems to be the winning reply! to my mind.
N_wEvils quote
It all boils down to wether you can afford a child, to feed it, buy toys, keep it warm at night - for that you need money. And just take a look at most council estates (as they're called in the UK) - the "wellfare kids" dont really have a crack at a good life growing up there, now, do they

This comment I think seems to be implying that only those with money should be allowed to have children? Ummm.. I wonder who would be making the decision on who had the right to have them. Would we fine people? or just shun them?

Just call me Sheeba- Apollo is gone.

Too repeat and emphasize- no matter my views and opinions on abortion, I am not going to tell women what to do with their bodies and lives. It's a woman's issue. If it was my girlfriend who *somehow* managed to get pregnant I might have an opinion.

Aselzion- by that logic, there is no wrong in killing a living person since you're just destroying the temple. I think you might wnat to refine that argument.

Greetings...

QOS...

Good point, I hadn't really considered that, though that was NOT my intention. But.. have you had a look at Conversations With God?

I think that Walsch presents a good case (or rather God presents it through him) for reconsidering what is meant by Good/Bad, Right/Wrong and the whole concept of SIN as it has been taught to date. Certainly God is more eloquent on the subject than I.

I'm not advocating killing anything.. but then, as Linda pointed out in her Lexigram of ABORTIONS:

IT IS NOT BORN - IT IS A ROBOT.
IS ABORTION A SIN. (of which it has certainly been accused)
NO, IT IS NOT A SIN
OR
IT IS A SIN.

That's what I call the test of Faith. We are left to decide for ourselves.

If God and his Angels bring us ONE message it is "Fear Not... God LOVES YOU".

Unconditionally, without prejudice or regard to our HUMAN condition and frailties, God LOVES us. And by extrapolation all that implies:

FORGIVES, ACCEPTS, JUDGES NOT, HEALS, TRANSFORMS, LIFTS UP and MAKES ALL THINGS NEW AND PERFECT.

If we could but REALIZE that statement our world could become the Heaven on Earth it was meant to be.

Bright Blessings..

A

Not all all, but like antimatter, most ammunition is a double edged sword that can blow up in your face. I was just using this as another attack (as if we needed more reason) against "the way things are".

Personally, I beleive we have the technology and we have the knowledge to prevent every unplanned pregnancy on the planet. I find it personally unacceptable to sleep with someone without doubling up on protection (OK, i sound inhibited now..must be a first! lol) mainly cuz one of my housemates just got clymidea....anyway..

My point is no amount of arguing will change the situation tomorrow, but with a little bit of effort (and alot of condoms) it can be fine.

Sorry if this sounds a little course..im inebriated (again).

Thanks, Miracle! Just going back to the name that is me! And no, Aselzion, I haven't read that book but it sounds like a worthwhile read.

New_Evil- condoms, I have no doubt, are a lot of fun, but they aren't fool- proof. I suppose if everyone learned the internal- ejaculation techniques known by yogis... anyway! And they could do astrological birth- control as another layer of protection.

In a Uni-versal sense, murderers and victims are all parts of the same learning, growing Light--but we do have laws in this physical manifestation of existence. And sans forgiveness, Karma almost always rules. But I choose to honor all Life and not kill anything (at least not intentionally). Still, that is only my personal choice. And the temptation to smash mosquitos is still sometimes quite strong!

Killing a fetus doesn't really count as murder, I think, because the spirit has not yet entered the body. Did somebody say this already?

Fajita- I feel so stupid that I didn't recognize you immediately!

Randall- the last time I smashed a mosqitoe, I felt guilty.
