As many of you already know, I have always strived to make Lindaland a true reflection of Linda's ideals, beliefs, and writings. We haven't been without our problems, but I think we have truly created one of the best online communities on the Net. Here's your chance to grade us and to tell us how we are doing.

What do you like about Lindaland?
Why do you visit here?
What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?

What do you not like about the site?
Are there any changes you would recommend?

Don't be shy! Let us know how we are doing, how we are exceeding expectations, and also where we might be falling short.

What do you like about LinaLand?

A general good atmosphere, even when people get competitive *coughglobalunity* they're not usually afraid to kiss and make up afterwards.

Its a great resource for anyone inclined to learning astrology and lexigrams - i can certainly say i've learned alot from people on there.

Why do you visit here?

I've made many good friends, being a net geek for years anyway some people might find that hard to understand, but i've found people in this community are far more interested in you, rather than secondary aspects (technical knowledge, creative work etc.). Also people here tend to be more interesting to me, just "more fleshed out" generally than most of the people one tends to meet online.

What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?

Mostly just that nice warm glow you get when you realise you've found some truly good people.

What do you not like about Lindaland?

the colour scheme is bearable but appropriate i guess

There may be a danger in over-diversifying some of the forums too, but apart from those minor niggles everything is good

Are there any changes you would recommend?

YES. I'd recommend upgrading the board software to a newer version of Vbb or maybe even one of the more freebie versions. The reason for this is forum software like Vbb provides nifty things like search functions and greatly expanded options for users like avatars, singiatures and profiles. Obviously its just a bunch of bells & whistles but some things like the search could be great for digging out lost/old threads.

I'm not sure what server lindaland runs off and/or if its capable of running on anything else, but anyway, just a recommendation i think it'd be good to look into, being the progressive aqua that i am

*creeps out of interview room hoping he didnt sound like an advert blurb too much*

Me first!! Me first!!
Okay, here we go...

Well, I like LindaLand because it is friendly and welcoming. Because there are a lot of really nice, friendly, awesome people here. LindaLand is a great place to hang out. We discuss all kinds of things or banter around and have fun.

I visit here because... I feel a certain responsibility to look after Teen Spirit. I'm rather attached to this site and the people here, and if I were to leave I would feel bad [was that too honest? ].

Lindaland is a place that relaxes me, cheers me up, and informs me. I have learned a lot about various political points of view here, as well as a lot of other things. I find it very rewarding to post a thought or a joke and have people like it. I don't feel like an outcast here, on the contrary I feel very accepted- which is a feeling I love!

As for things I don't like, I don't have any complaints at the moment.

A comment- I think that message boards are a form of conversation with all kinds of very nice upshots: you can't see anyone else, so it's impossible to judge by appearances (unless you look at the Knowflake photo album ). You can delete what you've said if you decide it wasn't really that witty, and the conversation are around forever so you can always reply.

Anyway.

Thank you for your input. We have a search fuction; it's just temporarily shelved while I iron out some wrinkles.

What do you like about Lindaland?

There is a very loving atmosphere here. I think only special people come to Lindaland.

Why do you visit here?

1. I have a lot of spare time on my hands because of the hours I work. 2. Linda has impacted my life more than anyone else in the world and I enjoy visiting a place where people love her as much as I do.

What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?

The advice, support and unconditional love that I find here.

What do you not like about the site?

Sometimes I wish the Astrology threads were more technical. While I love Lindaland, I would like to see this site appeal to more advanced astrologers as well as people new to the subject. We need more feedback from people with experience if we are to learn and grow.

Are there any changes you would recommend?

We need a chat board Randall!!!!

Ditto to most of the above, w/ some addendums.
I find that I just keep this site up while I'm writing a paper or searching for research material; if I ever feel bogged down, I can just check in and feel better (although, to be honest, I'll just randomly scroll through sometimes while reading something else - ah, first house uranus: the ADD placement).
Everyone here is pert dern groovy, and I feel honored to be able to interact with them.
Probs?
I hate pink.
Thaaaat's about it.
A chat function'd be cool, too - but if that's too much to maintain, its absence is equally cool.
Hm.
No, that's it.

Cheers.

Randall, don't listen to them about the colours and stuff, when I hop around looking at some other sites I just think, yeugh, ,there's no space, just tiny little boxes, and square typefaces which I dont like, and I dont like their dull colours ,it feels all squashed and cramped,I love this site, the way it's set out.
When I spend time on this site I feel like I'm touching something special.I often look in here and read other people's posts and dont say anything because I dont feel I have anything to add,but I'm still thinking about what that person's said in a positive way,so then I've worked out that when I put something on here that's probably what a lot of other people do for me.Even if someones saying something I have no interest in I still wish the best for them and feel that they're coming from a 'good place'.
I think everything that's needed is on here,I really feel that being able to edit your posts is necessary, but you've provided us with the right to do this, and I find it comforting that I can change my post if I have to(which I only do when I have to)
The only thing I'd change is that poor yellow smilie in there on that list, spinning his head round and round in the same direction all day,not stopping for a minute, the poor chap,it's painful for me to see him, please take him out.

You know a Virgo JUST had to step up and be a critic...

What do you like about Lindaland?

People, people, and for the sake of variety, more people!

That and people here use their brains and are tactful (most of the time. Ever visited a gaming forum? Hardcore gamers flame to the extreme. Not recommended for the faint of heart).

Why do you visit here?

Coz I like it here. And I can. It's quite obvious. If you like something and there's nothing wrong with it, why not?

Oh yeah, learning stuff is a big bonus, too.

What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?

Self reflection, make new friends, have fun, make new friends, talk about anything and everything, make new friends, debate about stuff, make new friends, gain insight, make new friends.

And did I mention make a lot of new friends?

What do you not like about the site?

Whatever you guys did, I liked them. However, I do have a few suggestions that I think have you would find useful. It's not that I don't like them, rather, I think it would be better that way.

Are there any changes you would recommend?

1. Multiple page forum page numbers at the topic lists!!!!! Clicking on the topic first then clicking on the last page is getting quite tedious (yeah I'm a lazy b@st@rd). I track topics and I wanna get to the last page immediately to see the new posts.

2. Is it just me, or is the forum all that there is to this site? Don't get me wrong, but I want more lindaland.

3. Take out the smiley limit!!!!!!! Or at least don't count multiple instances of one smiley. I understand images might slow down page loading, but if you have a million copies of the same image it'll load almost just as fast as one with only one image coz it's loaded only once and then printed multiple times.

That's about it. If there are others I'll let you guys know.

Why Do I Visit Lindaland?

I enjoy discussing spiritual matters with others, and I basically visit the site because alot of my friends aren't into spiritual stuff.

Likes?

I feel comfortable chatting away to others about things I may not be able to discuss deeply with my friends. Love the Smilies Legend - I always get a giggle out of that!

Dislikes?

Sometimes I feel there are some pretty forceful people that visit the site who are a bit aggressive in their opinions. I guess I am not like that. But, it is good that everyone is able to express their own opinions. Have I just contradicted myself????????

Changes?

I am quite happy with Lindaland.

Why Do I Find It Rewarding?

I find Lindaland a place where there is alot of support and genuine compassion towards others.

Thanks for listening to my opinion!!

Love and Peace,
sunmeadow Glades.

What do you like about Lindaland?
I like the people, topics and our reason (being Linda).

Why do you visit here?
To learn, love and contribute.

What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?
I find when I have said something to make someone happy or have done a Lexigram that helps someone out then I am fully rewarded by Lindaland.

What do you not like about the site?
I don’t like the fact that I can’t reach out and give someone a hug when needed or jump in with them on a crusade or see the beams of happiness on their face when they are telling us something special.

Is there any changes you would recommend?
Yes. Randall should become a super hero with the power to orb us all in to ‘Lindaland’ as we log in. Linda will be there of course and we will all sit around and talk, hug, dance and LIVE in this wonderful place that is one of my daily comforts. When our loved ones/pets need healing light we can bring them with us and have group healing sessions. I could go on and on and on but, you get my drift

I think we should all drop everything and live together in a community,we could provide sunglasses for anyone wishing to visit us so that they are'nt blinded by our dazzling combined auras of love and enlightenment.

The reason I come here, is becuase of LOVE, I come, becuase there is so much of this energy here.

I come here becuase, there is so much insight, there is so much to read, and if you read a person's post very carefully, they somehow carry multiple meanings.

I had read Sun Signs before I came to LindaLand. But for the whole year I've spent here, I've read all her books (except for Relationship Signs,) and my mind has been completley transformed.

The only thing I would like to see evolve, is that LindaLand grows and prospers in a fully positive manner. Never fall into the temptation, of making money off of Linda's name. Unless you're writing her biography, and we must reward you, with your efforts.
Linda must not become, a legend, or a myth, or someone that was more divine then we. That is all I ask for!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT LINDALAND?

It may be oversimplifying...but the people. All unique, all special, yet all sharing the common love for Linda and passion for learning any and all that the word metaphysical encompasses. Like Linda discusses in StarSigns, it's as though the souls here vibrate at a higher frequency...think at a higher level somehow. I read these posts and am sometimes blown away at the depth and wisdom issuing forth from the minds of you amazing peeps. I've learned so much...and I'd like to believe that I too, have evolved a little in my spiritual growth.

WHY DO YOU VISIT HERE?

I do not exaggerate when I say that checking in here almost daily has been aiding me in holding on to my sanity. It's as though my higher sElf knew what I was going to be in for, and provided me with Lindaland to help me through the troubles that I've been hit with. For well over a month, both my daughters have been going through hell; my older daughter is still being stalked by the crazy b**** who's been harassing her constantly...to the point where she feels the need to go into hiding...and away from our home. My younger daughter, as I've shared on several other threads, is having a serious health problem whose final resolution is a good month away yet. I honestly don't know how I'd handle all this stress if I didn't have a place like this to visit where I can both share my concerns with people who genuinely care...and distract myself from the constant worry about my children every minute of every day. Thank you all so much for listening and being there for me!

WHAT DO YOU FIND REWARDING ABOUT LINDALAND?

I pretty much covered this, but I will add that I like being able to express myself freely without fear of judgment; I find many of the posts inspiring, uplifting, and sometimes exactly what I needed to read at a given moment of distress. I'm also gratified if by sharing something I may be familiar with, it can help someone else.

WHAT DO YOU NOT LIKE ABOUT THE SITE?

Well...the Global Unity forum was a little unsettling. I read a lot but didn't post because I don't like fighting. I certainly understand the importance and validity of the forum...it's just that I sometimes got the feeling that "higher frequency" I referred to earlier, was being lowered there due to the volatile nature of the subjects. I, like most everyone else, have my opinions about these matters, but I just feel that everyone's opinions are equally valid...none "better" than anyone else's...and the arguments, while informative, didn't really do much other than make a lot of people angry. That's just me...you know the saying about religion and politics. People are going to believe what they're going to believe, and that's all there is to it. It's what makes us all unique, so I will be bold (for me) and say that we should all just allow each other our feelings and not try to make someone feel like an idiot because their opinion differs from someone else's. My two cents only!

ARE THERE ANY CHANGES YOU WOULD RECOMMEND?

Only a wish to fix my continued problem with posting long messages. Randall told me at one point that it could be my cache, but I'm not very computer literate anyway...and I did just get a brand new one a few weeks ago with plenty of memory and 60 gigs, so while I don't know if that should have made a difference or not, it hasn't, though I do seem to notice that I'm able to post longer messages if I use fewer icons, but that's frustrating because I think the smilies and other images are very helpful in expressing my feelings when I can't use my tone of voice or physical gestures in this medium of communication to do so. Then again, maybe "somebody" is trying to tell me something, that being to stop being such a Gemini and talking so much, lol. Otherwise, I have no complaints; I like Lindaland just the way it is.

A high speed connection like DSL or cable will take care of that problem. Or use the free hours of NetZero if you have a particularly long Post, as it seems to work well for some reason.

What do you like about Lindaland?

The values of open-mindedness, decency, caring and fun expressed by this community of special people! You don't find forums or communities like this every day!

Why do you visit here?

Drawn to it originally -- needing information, confirmation, and a place for self-expression regarding metaphysical matters. Now I've made a few friends, know this motley cast of characters a bit better and so I also come back to enjoy the posts.

What do you find rewarding about Lindaland?

Being able to witness, share and help with others, and learn, learn, learn! Also the usually quick, positive responses to queries keep me interested in follwing the threads.

What do you not like about the site?

I have to chime in with N_wEvil and X3me's technical suggestions. In particular it drives me nuts when I'm trying to go through older posts and have to keep using the "back" button rather than clicking a hyperlink of some kind. And after I post a reply on a long thread, say page five of five, the program takes me back to the _beginning_ page of the topic. Click, click, click, goes the abused saintly mouse. So shortcuts to help us patience-challenged mortals would be swell.

Are there any changes you would recommend?

As above. I sense, however, that there is room for more forums at Lindaland, but can't say what I think they might be. Although the hyperlink list system for organizing information is effective, I would like to see another couple of graphic-based pages -- I suspect Knowflakes have abundant knowhow and creativity to come up with some great ideas -- maybe someone could create a collage/design of submissions, hold contests, etc. Also, would it be possible to make some kind of smilie or avatar for all the moderators, like the one that exists for you? Doesn't have to be a photo image, maybe a little cartoon GIF. It would be like a newspaper or Net columnist's photo. Just some ideas off the top of my horn-éd head. Overall it's just great here - thank you Randall for setting such a high tone, and keeping it.

I love the energy here. Everytime I come here, I feel like a long held deep secret is about to be revealed . Linda, spiritual insight and good fun are my reason for Lindaland.
