You know, if you ever get a spare year or so, you might catalogue some of your Very Famous Posts -- the ones about, and with Jason, and maybe some of the ones before -- make a giant scrapbook.

I think I said something to you several months ago, about how it's all about finding someone you like no matter how crazy they get, and who likes you no matter how crazy you get... and voilą!

(of course, it's about more than that, and part of the diffierence sits gracefully on your hands)

Just a quick note between morning sickness and getting ready to get into work (late)

We're certainly both crazy enough to satisfy the other, no easy task.

I plan on doing some sort of catalogue of my posts about him, and vice-versa, starting from the beginning.

Ach - gotta run!

Just peeping back on here to post some pics that I thought a couple of you (er, lioneye) might want to see:

...little bits that I particularly liked from pics of mine and Jase's wee to-please-my-mom reception.

Oh, Prox, that's lovely. Very unconventional wedding dress, there, sweetie pie, quirky Aqua moon girl...
He sure looks like he enjoys hugging you there. *sniff sniff* Sorry, I always cry at weddings.
Got any more?
How many people were there?
Did you get a good haul?
Sorry, had to ask.

Thanks ya'll

Geez, him being gone is odd.
My plan was to drop him off at the hotel for the Baltimore MEPS on Tuesday and say our goodbyes there, but he ended-up wanting me to see him off the next day.
I rented a room there, with a little help.
When I was checking-in, the cashier asked, "Do you have any discounts available to you?"
"Um...no...not that I know...do you give student discounts?" hopefully.
She shook her head, "No," and began typing away. A moment later she whispered and winked, "I gave you the Manager's Discount."
I said, "Thank you," thinking, "Cool...a couple dollars off." It turned out to be a nearly $50 discount.
I treated Jason to a grand final dinner befitting our budget (burgers, fries, and a chocolate milkshake at Checkers) - no burger has ever tasted so good
We spent the night together in my room until he had to be back for headcount. Once I had almost fallen asleep, I heard a tentative knock at my door. I opened it to find him again. He had been reading the book that I made for him, and wanted just to come and look at me and talk a bit.
God, I love him.
The next day I had to make my way onto Ft. Meade in thick-as-soup fog. After passing more than a few exits, I found it. While my car was being inspected for the daily pass, it was discovered that I did not have my insurance and registration on me (we had taken it out a few days before to make copies and had forgotten to return it). I was asked to pull forward so that I could continue to look for it with an MP PFC standing beside me. Despite myself, I started to cry a bit.
"Do you think you'll be able to find it?"
"No...I think it's sitting in my room."
"OK, hold on one minute," and he yelled back, "Hey - who's on entry ## today? Him? Geez," and back to me, "You won't be able to get through there, either." He fidgeted a minute more, "You're here to see your husband get sworn in?" and sighed. "OK, just go," and he gave hurried directions. A Sgt. called up from the checkpoint, "You know she has to go around - she can't go in!"
"Yeah, I know - I'm sending her there now," and, quietly, to me while whisking his hands, "Go, go!"
Grateful and rushing, I went...and got lost in the fog. I ended-up wandering over to the Defense Intel. School there begging directions to the MEPS, to again be aided by a very kind Sgt-on-duty who went out of his way to call around to find the location.
I finally arrived.
After waiting for a few hours (this *is* the military, after all), I saw my husband get sworn in by his father (a ret. Colonel), took some pictures and had some taken, and then engaged in excessive PDA, much to the chagrin of the Sgts. at the desk (although they didn't say anything with a Colonel in his class As standing there).
That day, he called me 4 times from the various airports he waited in and then from Oklahoma at his final landing. He's still in in-processing (b/c of the 4-day weekend), so we got to talk 2 times yesterday, hopefully again today.
When we talked, he was bald and hurting a bit from a smoking administered the day before because some Pvts. were late to first formation, and apologetic because he couldn't keep his side of the medicine bags we exchanged, but he sounds good - even if he sounds as if he misses me as much as I miss him. I almost cried when, in the middle of telling me about his day, he gave a shakey sigh and breathed, "I miss you so much, Corri." We both said, "I love you, I love you so much," until his alloted time ran out, and then he asked me to call his dad and tell him that he's doing fine and that he loves him. I did, and it seemed to mean a lot to that ol' Cancer Sun/Cappie Moon/Virgo Rising man. His dad was relieved to have a way to get into contact with me, too, saying, "If you need anything - anything - you just call me."
Jason said that he's already sent-off three letters to me; I've written page after page, but don't know his final Company address yet. As soon as I do, he's going to get a two-stamper or two.
I hope that he has as much fun as I know can be had in training, and that he does as well as he wants (I know that he will).
From here on out we get letters and a call on Sunday, until December when he graduates and gets a break until his WOFT program begins.

Wow, what a long post
Guess I just had to get it all out.

Again, thank you juniperb, trillian, hooked, pixelpixie, pidaua, and lioneye (yes, we did get a decent "haul" - mostly baby stuff, though ).

Oh, no no...baby stuff is GOOD, Prox! Saves you a bundle if you get stuff as gifts. That's why people have baby showers. Baby showers ROCK. (ok, that's an odd sentence )

What's that? Pre-Deparure Affection? Pre-Departure Anguish? Prima-Donna Archery?

Oh, Prox. It's only 2 months. I know it seems like an eternity, but really, Hon...it'll go by faster than you thought. Just keep busy, prepping for baby bull and Christmas and whatever else is coming up for you. And spend alot of time with freinds. They help take the bite off of the loneliness. And you can always cry on our shoulders here (well, mine anyway. I can't speak for anyone else), or via email if you prefer. I enjoy hearing about your goings on!

I like lioneye's pre-departure affection rather than the traditional public displays of affection. More Personal Devoted and Animalistic.
