I saw interviews with Londoners this a.m. Some have a good point against the deed. Our children are starving and for life not days. He has no political, religious et al cause so they felt it was a shame and slap in their face.

One of the fellas looked a lot like you Wevil! You doing interviews with the American press? If so, mention my name as I could use a better job too

juniperb- you rock! I always love your comments!
But as far as some londoners opinions? They need to chill. The world is too dramatic already without everyone needing to wave their flag, and do something degrading for a cause. I guess the only cause he needs for this publicity, is to say "look at what I can do!" And further his career. Maybe he is trying to reach yogic credibility... whatever his reasons, there will still be children starving and much as it saddens my heart for them, not everything has to have a cause.... It's actually kind of refreshing to see something frivolous and entertaining. Maybe that's why WWE is so popular!!! lol . No offense meant or anything, though I doubt you would take it as such, just exercising my libra mercury debate muscle.

PP, those are my sentiments exactly. Does everything have to have an agenda? Can't anything just be for the heck of it? I think it's because he's American. The rest of the world has so many expectations and critisisms of America, and Americans abroad in the spotlight are pretty much always put under scrutiny. "Are they setting the example that they should be for the rest of us?" "Are they using their American status for the benefit of the rest of us?" "Are they regarding themselves as our equal, or do they think they're superior to us? They better not try to out-shine us and be superior, or we'll cut 'em down at the knees. cuz, of course, all Americans think they're so much better than everyone else"

God, the pressure! It's like being the pretty girl at a slumber party! "Look at her! I hate her! Why did we invite her? She thinks she so great. Let's be mean to her. Let's make her think she's a bad person, just so she doesn't get too high on herself"

Here's the latest news report.....

Blaine Stunt to 'End Soon in Dramatic Fashion'

-- AOL Special: All you need to know about Blaine

FANS of US illusionist David Blaine are becoming increasingly convinced his stunt in a box over the Thames will end early and in dramatic fashion.

Insiders are speculating that Blaine will "fall ill" well before the end of his 44-day self-imposed fast - and that a botched attempt to rescue him will result in a plunge into the Thames and his disappearance.

The 30-year-old magician is then expected to reappear in another of the world's major cities.

Not surprisingly the Web has been flooded by emails, purporting to be from sources close to Blaine, detailing how the stunt will play out.

As the performer started day 20 of his task, one email stated: "They will attempt to get him down from the crane - all on live TV -  at which point the box, with him in it, will drop into the Thames 'by accident', seemingly killing him. Until of course, he reappears some minutes later."

The scores of other theories include:

* That Blaine will simply disappear and emerge somewhere else in the world.

* That he will be spotted shopping in Harrods.

* That he will disappear and re-emerge on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square.

* That medics enter the box on day 44 to find nothing but his clothes.

More seriously, medical experts have already warned that Blaine could lapse into a coma if his stunt continues for much longer.

Earlier this week it was claimed that David Blaine's advisers in the US are keen for him to end his stint in the box following the hostile reaction from some of those who have flocked to see him.

Why would he disappear? Isn`t his current antics inane enough?

As for his physical/mental health, it can`t be good or getting any better

Questions from a kook...

1. How does he go to the bathroom?

2. Isn't it cold and rainy there right now? I saw he has no shirt on. (?!)

3. Who's leaking out the "secret twist" info? What kind of "people" does this guy have?

4. Why are people jeering him and acting like an angry mob? What's up THEIR bums?

If you had the misfortune to live here, you'd prolly be stressed out/annoyed enough to do that too, heh

Hi Juniperb
Yes I can see you now....don't know why I couldn't see the posts of this string for couple of days.....

Today is teeshirt weather here in the centre of London, so I reckon it would be pretty warm in David's glass cube.
