The sun is shining in all it`s glory with sweet promises of spring in the air

My Imbolc seedlings are almost ready for transplanting and the drip drip of melting snow on the roof is the sweetest since Moonlight Sonata . *sigh*

Aw...my little seedlings were blown off the windowsill...

But today's STILL fantabulous b/c I got our taxes done (and we're getting all of our money back) and the little kiddo's hiccuping right now.

In utero hiccuping.

*giggles*

For real, though - YAY!

I didn't even have to do anything more than bring in the W-2s...the legal office will do them for free over at the Soldier Service Center.

I just sat there for 45 mins while the lady inputed everything.

Because I transplanted my seedlings to bigger pots, bleached out my clay pots and saw a red winged blackbird

juniperb - Very cool re: the blackbird
I've fallen in love with all of the mockingbirds down here in 'Bama. We had them in VA, but not in such numbers.
They're just so happy and full of life, almost cocky in their stance and movements.

TWAFWeek or So b/c
JASON'S BACK FROM TRAINING!

He still has...well...a year or so of flight training to go, but he gets to live here while doing it, and his company's being really understanding about our impending kiddo. They've put him in a training "bubble" until she's born to uncomplicate everyone's life as much as possible. It's really great to have him back, and he - being the sweetest guy in the world - made me a turkey sandwich for lunch today and wrote me a note saying, frankly, almost Cancerian things like, "Stay off your feet, don't work to hard, get some rest...".
The poor guy...I've been worrying him sick...
Yesterday's classic quote of the day
(in response to the fact that I've taken to sliding the span of our kitchen on a rug, his subsequent scolding of me, and my accusation that he's a "kill joy"):
"I'm NOT a kill-joy! I'm a Save-Wife!"
(said with righteous indignation)

AND yesterday we applied for AND received on-post housing. We had our choice of a few, and we chose one that backs up to a backyard shaded by one gigantic tree with woods as far as the eye can see behind and has a huge (for post housing) front yard with a big, old Magnolia in it. The house itself is 4 bedrooms (2 big - one we'll use as the master, one we'll use as an office; 2 small - one for the kiddo's room, one for guests...as soon as we get another bed), a decently sized kitchen w/ new appliances (niiiiice gas stove), a combo dining/living room with a big window door that looks out on our fantabulous back yard, and a little shed on the side for stuff like rakes and lawnmowers.
It's ours NOW, and we move-in this Thursday & Friday (that's when the military movers'll pack our stuff up, haul it off, and unload it - all we have to do besides unpack is watch them with our goods and check off the boxes as they arrive).

TWAFD (as was last night) b/c

I lost the mucous plug w/ a bloody show (TMI?) and as of 6:50 this morning central time, contractions are 6-7 mins apart.

Yes, she has proven her parentage.
She's coming when we were supposed to be moving

Pardon my ignorance, I really don't know a lot about the birthing process...but does this mean you're going into labor?

Good luck to you and the wee one, Corri!

ooooh!! How exciting!!! The mucous plug is tissue that 'blocks' the cervix, and means imminent labour.. how imminent, depends on many things,,, but conractions are usually a good sign!!!
Oh! I am toooooo excited for you. Can't wait to hear. Blessing you, and wishing wonderful things for you and kiddo.
May the Universe grant both of you a safe, happy experience

Ah, a little headstrong Aries munchkin on your hands, Corri... Well, she isn't letting anyone tell her that she was destined to be a Taurus, now is she? Good luck on a smooth entrance of your little one into the world, whenever she decides the moment is right.

Oh my, and Corri once said she didn't relate well to us! Well, here's your instant karma and a chance to get to know an Aries realllllly well.

I wish you and the babe soooo much light and love, I know you'll be a wonderful mom, the perfect mom for an Aries girl.

Actually, Proxieme came up with "proxibug" a long time ago for posts that expressed both her thoughts and Jason's. It was supposed to be a mix of the two. I thought that was the perfect definition of the little Aries-to-be...a mix of them both. Hey Prox, I am a Pisces mom with an Aries kid. They are just the most wonderful little bundles of sunshine! May she bring as much joy to you as my sweet Aries brought (and still brings) to me. Once when he was 15 he got a job washing dishes at a local restaurant so he could save enough money to buy himself a big stereo system. He worked for almost six months and finally had enough just before Christmas. But when he went shopping he saw something he knew I had been wanting for a long time, but could not afford. He spent all his stereo money on a Christmas present for me. It still brings tears to my eyes all these years later. That is a generous, kind-hearted, loving little Aries for you. Sweet to the core.

*eyes crossed from on/off contractions*

Nothin' yet (at least no kiddo yet).
My contractions were about 6 mins apart in the morning yesterday (and regular), increasing in severity and decreasing in interval when I got up and walked around.
Then I laid down and they subsided.
Then we went for a walk and they kicked back in (getting forceful enough to make me stop walking for a second or two when they came).
Then they subsided.
GAH! Wanted to say more but movers are here!
Gotta jet!
Won't be able to post for a bit (everything's going to the new house).

Add: Delivery said these were real contractins, just protracted.
