The 2nd to last post in the TWAFD thread said:

My spring garden catalogs came today amid -4 degrees and a whirling snowstorm... YaY there is light at the end of these long dark stormy afternoons. Praise the catalog companys for sharing a ray of sunshine

TWAFD b/c I've been able to talk to Jase a couple of times a day since he went down to AL & b/c I'm back at work now w/ all of the groovy peeps there.
Yesterday was kinda silly b/c Jase said that he heard that that the Warrant Officer 1 rank is nick-named "The Thousand Dollar Bar" because Candidates have to send out their BDUs so that they may have a freshly-pressed pair each day.

Re: Cheque Accts.: Oi. I'm just getting used to a joint one.

Yay! re: Spring !

TWAFDB...I get to keep my space at work.

The company I work for recently bought a competing company, and everyone is moving in. Lots of folks got shuffled, but my space is safe.

When my new roommates walked in ths morning, I said, "Now this is my little Les Nesman line, just knock if you want in."

(That's a WKRP joke...)

Booger.

TWAFD because I found the usmilitary.about.com site. It's amassed a lot of the usually far-flung (but incredibly, incredibly helpful) information out there.

Yay

YaY for you

WKRP in Cincinnati was a wonderfully fun sit com that ran from bout 78 to 1982. Funny as all heck. The character were Dr. Johnny Fever & Venus Flytrap both DJ`s. The smart girl was Baily & the dopey blond was Jennifer the receptionist(Loni Anderson, ) Crybaby smarty pants nurd with an invisable office,Les Newman, Herb Tarlek was lover boy with no class or style. Station owner Arthur 'Big Guy" Carlson. It spoofed these characters and was absoultely hysterical.

Les Newman : whats an executrix?

Herb: it has to do with whips, chains and leather. You know that sorta stuff

Les NESman, juniperb.

Johnny Fever was fired from a radio station for saying the word "booger" on the air...that's how he ended up at WKRP--a KRaP
radio station.

And they didn't know turkey's couldn't fly...thus, a terribly misguided Thanksgiving promotion. Honest, it was funny.

And what was the Program Director's name? The guy with the great hair? Bailey was in love with him...

And TWAFDB...pixelpixie did a tarot reading for me too. What a sweetie.

That's very awesome re: pixelp's readings; she seems quite gifted.

Today's still a fantabulous day because...
OK, I know that I said that I don't like doing rune readings, but sometimes I get the urge - like I'll **** my head like the RCA dog and just know that I can do one now - and I got just such an urge today to do one for Jason @ Warrant Officer School (and perhaps flight training...I kinda included that in the "issue presented").
This is what I got:

Past - EIHWAZ
Endurance, Defense, Protection.
The driving force to acquire, providing motivation & a sense of purpose. Indicates you have set your sights on a reasonable target and can achieve your goals.

Present/Near Future - JERA
The results of earlier efforts are realized. Hopes and expectations of peace and prosperity; the promise of success earned.
Future - SOWILO
Success, goals achieved, honor.
Victory, health, power.

YAY FER ME BABE!

Oh, no...I will put that sentence in here...

...like I'll c-o-c-k my head like the RCA dog and just know that I can do one now...

That's better.

Well, ya see, Jase has his baby:
http://www.superbeetles.com/galleries/gallery_images/bugnme.jpg
A picture of Jase when he was about 17, right after he fixed up "Arcadia"

and the whole reason he wanted a classic VW Bug in the first place was because he loved Herbie the Love Bug as a child...so, I think he'll love this

FK - Wow...you're ooooold
The funny thing is that it seems like yesterday to me, too.

yep...older than dirt, baby.

Very cute pic of your man and his bug. The two of you seem really made for each other.
