juniperb...it's not profound, it never was.

But my feelings about your dream, they always represented my current relationship. I knew it the minute I read your first post, just didn't want to acknowledge it, though.

My time in Ireland was so wonderful. We went with a lot of friends, to support the marriage vows of two others very dear to us. They're gay, and wanted to celebrate by exchanging Claddagh rings in a place near where they originated. The service was performed at twilight, in a huge and lovely old elegant Manor house in the country, by a gay Irish priest, who actively campaigns for the gay right to a marriage sanctioned by the church and any other interested party. Yes, he's a real Irish Catholic priest, born and bred on the Emerald Isle, and the church is well aware of his work. He has not been stopped. This service, while not legally binding, was beautiful and moving, and filled with great joy from and for everyone attending.

My current relationship will likely come to a bittersweet end, for many reasons too personal to list here. He and I are filled with love and respect for each other, and I think we will always be friends, though there may be some rocky times as we forge that path. I will always cherish him. He both touched and changed my life, the me that is me, profoundly.

I kissed him as we walked along the Cliffs of Moher, one of the most amazing, beautiful, awe-inspiring places on earth, and I thanked the Goddess for knowing him.
The Cliffs are terrifying, magical...see for yourself. http://home.flash.net/~gkeating/cliffs.htm
Nearly 1000 feet high, note the tiny little people in the upper left.

So your dream, juniperb, is about endings and beginnings, closure and the spaces in between. It's about your Mother, my Mother, my family and yours...and it was about my Gem. It's about the beauty in the pain. It's about time and love well spent. It's about being alive and never closing your heart to the moment, to the risk, to the love that is...

Trillian, welcome back.

Reading your post evoked the same sense of bittersweet feelings my dream did. A k-nowing you`re right about beginnings and endings. The circle closes on our relationships but it never ends. We are so blessed to have the people who touch our lives so profoundly.
Love and lite to you and Gem as you grow & experience the seasons and reasons. You are a wise woman to see the larger purpose to our lives and loves.

Thank you for meeting me on the astral plane and deeply sharing a very personal experience with me

Hmmm, that post went in at 11:11..... if I was looking for validation, what more could I ask for?

Thank you Trillian for sharing your trip. It sounds so wonderful and a memory to last a lifetime. I`m off to see your link.

Validation indeed!

Pixel, in truth, I shed a few tears while writing that.

juniperb, it's you I must thank...for the beauty of the dream, for the knowing it helped to bring.
