PixelPixie...

Holy crap...lots of changes...I bought a house right before I turned 29 and have spent the last year renovating it...I switched jobs...went through one more boyfreind and I FINNALY think I might have found the right one this time...a VIRGO (on the cusp...20th of Sept).

Yes...lots of change...it hasn't all been easy either but it's all good.

I was kind of afraid today like some lightening bolt was gonna shoot from out of the sky...like "30" was a bad thing...and you know what? I wasn't so bad...it was actually pretty good!!

Yeah, it's more of a mental mile-stone than anything else, turning 30. It can feel heavy, but only if you make it.

You're a BIG girl now!

How did the reno go, FC? What all did you do?

Lioneye68,

I obught the house last May and didn't move in until September (for all you USA East Coasters...I moved in the same week hurricain Isabel hit). for the months prior, my Father and I ripped down old wallpaper, patched plaster walls, ripped up old carpet, put in a new hardwood floor, built a walk-in closet. Hired a contractor to put in new ceilings and new vinyl widows to replace the old rotted wooden windows. Painted. Had to treat the concrete floor in my basement with "industrial Enzymes" to get rid of a HORRIBLE pet odor...and then I moved it.

I am getting ready to have the kitchen totally gutted and remodeled...new floor..track lighting..cabinets, countertops, electical...new door and window...you name it.

It's "Fun" in sense but also a lot of work.

I have very little furniture...bedroom furniture..a sofa and 2 chairs...no table or anything...no end tables or coffee tables in the living room. I watch TV on a 12 inch until I can get the kicthen done and finish the family room...I'm using the family room to store my personal kitchen stuff...plates...tupperware...all in boxes...utensils...blender...crock pot..you name it.
