We all have senses of humour, we all read... I was thinking we could randomly flip through books we own... and write the first sentance.. dialogue or otherwise, that we are drawn to... To create a silly story, much like the things we are doing already with stories and word associations.... Do ya' get my meaning? We could have a great disjointedly wacky story going on..... I'll start, and see where it goes.... "You don't get peace from a serum, Doc." "No, perhaps not. Some of the questions you've asked, I have asked myself, but I haven't gone very far with them. Maybe I haven't done enough with my life to be disillusioned." IP: Logged |

"The phone rand and I just stared at it. The last thing I needed now was another distraction. I tried to push it from my mind, gazing out the window at the trees and wildflowers, hoping to lose myself in the array of fall colors in the woods around my house.""It rang again, and I got a vague but stirring image in my mind's eye of a person needing to talk with me. Quickly I reached over and answered it." IP: Logged |

Eldritch seated himself enarby, rested his artificial arm on his bent knees, and idly swung his stick from side to side, scrutinizing the gluck, which had still not departed.IP: Logged |

The mystery was something for the police two thousand miles away in Marshall, Michigan, she told herself. And there were the fingerprints.IP: Logged |

"Your dream. The guy and the crowds and the airplane," he said patiently. "You were curious about me, so now you know, OK? There were news stories: Donald Shimoda, the one they were beginning to call the Mechanic Messiah, the American Avatar, who disappeared one day in front of twenty-five thousand eye-witnesses." I did remember that, had read it on a small-town Ohio newspaper rack, because it was on the front page. IP: Logged |

"He went right past them, ignoring their indignant and imperious voices, moving through the bedroom and then seeing the perfect cutout of a doorway in the paneling, the unmarked door itself pushed only a few inches ajar. He shoved it back. There was a stairway! Damn!" IP: Logged |

I turned east, then southeast, and after a while the first big field I found with trees for shade and a stream to drink from I landed for the night. It was a long way from any town.

"I grabbed the pack Yin had prepared for me from the back of the truck. I started up the hill. The temperature was growing slightly colder, but I hoped that with the tent and sleeping bag, I would not freeze to death. But what about the soldiers? I watched the truck move out of sight and listened carefully, hearing nothing but the wind."IP: Logged |

Almost at his feet, the ground fell away vertically for more than a thousand meters. Down the face of the cliff, the decapitated worm was slowly drippings stalactites of wax. From time to time an oily globule would break off and fall slowly toward the cloud layer far below. IP: Logged |

I used _The Three Stitmata of Palmer Eldritch_ by Philip K. Dick. And now I'm using _Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets_ Going from: They were all consumed with curiosity about the mysterious things that took place down in the forbidden area where he lived with the gamecocks. Before Dumbledore could speak another word, however, the door of the office flew open with an almighty bang and Hagrid burst in, a wild look in his eyes, his balaclava perched on top of his shaggy black head and a dead rooster still swinging from his hand. It was those darn strawberry-kiwi Jell-O shots Janice's coworkers at the police department brought to the party. They must've been spiked. I winced at the memory of me howling Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" into the karaoke machine at Uncle Manny's bar and Grille, which had opened on a Sunday night just to host our festivities. Janice had covered her mouth first in shock and then in delight when I jumped onto the pool table to play air guitar while the other partygoers whooped and cheered. Only Manny had remained glum, his eyes glaring at my spiked heels digging into the green felt.(Bubbles in Trouble) IP: Logged |
