**promotion ho**

YES the new single is called Sunrise. It is to be released September 20th and the album, titled "Astronaut", is to be released October 12th.

It is the first album released by the original five members of the band in 20 years.

Here are the lyrics

now the time is come,
the music between us
though the night seems young-
is at an end
only change will bring
you out of the darkness
in this moment everything is born again

reach up for the sunrise
put your hands into the big sky
you can touch the sunrise
feel the new day enter your life

now the fireball burns,
we go round together
as the planet turns into the light
something more than dreams to
watch out for each other?
coz we know what it means to be alive
reach up for the sunrise
put your hands into the big sky
you can touch the sunrise
feel the new day enter your life

reach up for the sunrise
put your hands into the big sky
you can touch the sunrise
feel the new day enter your life

It's already playing on radio stations. Yesterday it was the #1 requested song on Star98.7 in Los Angeles. **WOOT!**

I know now you are saying "But, BRM! How can I hear this masterpiece of musical genius?" Well you can hear it here if you wanna.

Everything else will fall into place

We don't have sound on the computer right now, so I have to wait to hear it on the radio.

I became a fan in 1985 when I was 13 "A View To A Kill" came out that summer and that's what got me. Plus I was at 'that age' if you know what I mean.

I went out and bought Rio on cassette immediately. Then began my spiral into freaky fandom!

I love hearing the feedback!!! The hardcore fans are actually really interested to hear what the general public thinks about the song. I know I'm curious because most opinions I hear are from the same circles of Duranies

BRM - you're toooooo cool

Thanksya! I've been a DuranDuran fan since I was kneehigh to a Grasshopper.. compiling mixtapes on my humble 'stereo' of DD, Dollar, Bucks Fizz & Tales of the Unexpected in the mix!! Compile that with brushings of Eddie Grant, Bob Marley & Madonna, and I believed I was onto a winner! meeeemmmoriees!

Ya had to be there for the dance routines for each of these mind.. lethal
