Alright, I've made a choice...Love Without Conditions (Reflections of the Christ Mind) By Paul Ferrini http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1879159155/ref=sib_db_rdr/102-3870495-2598531#reader- link ... but it's possible, as ruler of the world that I might change the rule and insist they also read: The Journey Home By Lee Carroll https://www.kryon.com/k_15.html IP: Logged |

A book a day? You must be some kind of speed reader. There are only two books I've read in one day: The Bridges of Madison County and The Journey Home. Some books take me weeks to finish... depending on how much I need to absorb. I can whip through fiction pretty fast... but I usually read long(ish) novels. IP: Logged |

My mother read it and lent it out awhile ago and doesnt have it anymore. She said it's a must read.So hard to choose one book.............well one I would choose is, The Book of Secrets By Osho. Ooh... Wait! I read The Celestine Prophecy in a day too. I went back and re-read it though. I went through it so fast (couldn't put it down), I was afraid I might have missed something profound.Actually, each time I've read it, I find something else... IP: Logged |

Leaks out your ear when sleeping.. haha.I read a book a day sometimes.. but it is all fluff. I read alot of Nora Roberts. I just love the life she breathes into her characters. Sagas.. nothing that would reach the top of a spirituality list, I am afraid to say.. but I love reading and losing myself in fantasy regardless. I in fact read a novel in one night the other night.. I couldn't put it down.. so I stayed up . I started at 11:30 and went to sleep finally at 6 am. It was great! Better than a dream. Then I grabbed four hours sleep. IP: Logged |

I am not lying when I say I can read more than one book a day. If you get into a book, you can stay up all night reading it and I often do. You can get quite a bit of reading in when you really want to. I can read a book whilst eating, bathing and yes quite frankly, even whilst sitting on the loo! Some people spend hours of their lives watching television. I think it's more a matter of choice what you do with your time. I don't watch television that often, I much prefer to read a book instead. Television is not all that interesting to me, unless perhaps it's history or discovery. I'm so bored silly by all the attention people like Jennifer Anniston and all the other celebs in Hollywood get and for what? The real issues always get pushed to the side. It's even the same with the news. I understand we have to be entertained, but honestly, most of it is utter rubbish. How can it improve our lives in anyway? I'm reminded of the Greek saying that when translated goes something like this: "When the Gods take revenge on the wicked, they first deprive them of their senses." I'm not saying we are all deprived of our senses, of course not, nor that we are all wicked. I can watch a good movie and enjoy it like the rest. However I do think we are often deprived of our sense of what is really important. One book is a hard choice. I think books are like people, they change as we do. I can read a book again after a year or more and read it with totally different eyes. I think that must be beacuse we really use our emotions to read with. I can read a book five times and each time find something totally new within it's pages. Gia IP: Logged |

I'd much rather read than watch TV too.Sometimes I find my S-elf sitting in front of the TV, not knowing what's happening on the program. I just don't pay attention to it. I read while I cook a lot... you should see some of my poor books ... the loo... heck yeah! What else is there to do? Stare at the wall? You know what's really bad?! Sometimes, if I'm involved in a really GREAT book, I'll read at stop lights I put it down when it's time to drive again though IP: Logged |

<smiles at Gia and 26taurus and pixelpixie>How nice to know there are a few readers out there that can keep up with me! How come I only find such people online?? I go through an average novel in about 8 hours. I'll never forget the day I first read Star Signs, because my head was literally reeling with all the information I was absorbing! Gooberz took me two days, and my head reeled then, too... but in a different way. I think my heart reeled right along with it. And as for where I read -- I've even read while walking to and from my workplace before. I guess getting a few more pages in was a higher priority than making sure no cars hit me! Am I lucky or what?? ------------------ Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. --Mahatma Ghandi IP: Logged |
