And another one:
quote:
Sir: Why did the chicken cross the road?
Andrew: One does not know, sir, possibly a predator was behind the chicken, or possibly there was a female chicken on the other of the road, if it's a male chicken. Possibly a food source, or depending on the season it might be migrating. One hopes there's no traffic.
Sir: To get to the other side.
Andrew: To get to the other side. Ah, why is that funny?

The first one is from Before Sunset - just came out on VHS/DVD. wonderful movie. I recommend it highly although it's maybe more appealing to foreigners...The other one is from an older movie

"Mr. *******, why do you continually insist on wasting my time?"

"Well, Mr. ****...the way I see it, it's like this. If I'M here, and YOU'RE here, doesn't that make it OUR time?"

I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world....without you. A world without rules and controls. Without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there, is a choice I leave to you.

*edit* I had to put this one in here, too....

"When I was alive, I believed--as you do--that time was at least as real and solid as myself, and probably more so. I said 'one o'clock' as though I could see it, and 'Monday' as though I could find it on the map; and I let myself be hurried along from minute to minute, day to day, year to year, as though I were actually moving from one place to another. Like everyone else, I lived in a house bricked up with seconds and minutes, weekends and New Year's Days, and I never went outside until I died, because there was no other door. Now I know that I could have walked through the walls."

"That's..."

"Respect...the C***!"

Yes, that would be the male genetalia. This line was spoken by Tom Cruise.

Freeky movie. Anyone?

(I guess nobody recognized the other one I posted, huh?)

Lioneye... I knew it before you said it was the Ex Mr Cruz

Magnolia. Yes... freaky movie. It solidified my love for Julianne Moore I adore her!

OK, here's another quote... this one is from a classic movie, with someone already mentioned, hint hint ... someone should get it!

God, he loved flying with you Maverick. But he would've done it anyway... without you. He'd have hated it, but he would've done it.

Glad your game didn't die Marcia! I like it lots. I'll try not to kill by being to obscure, lol.

TOP GUN!!!!!! I sure loved that movie

Pardon my French, but Cameron is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his ass, in two weeks you'd have a diamond.

Dumb and Dumber?

We must always fear the wicked. But there is another kind of evil that we must fear the most, and that is the indifference of good men.

I do believe the monsignor's finally got the point.

Aye.

Lioneye,

No... but think along those lines. It is a very religious themed film.... tell me if you want me to just spill it.

Yes, it will, Precious, won't it? It will get the hose!

LOL! I love this quote... it's kind of a running gag betwen me and my ex we put on the "voice" and say it puts the lotion on its skin, it does what it's told! and crack up giggling, lol.

(odd sense of humour... yes, that's me)

Oh come on, I would have thought someone would know that one off the top of their head.

I wouldn't think you'd need to be Clarice Starling to crack the case!

I'm well. How are you?

Kiddos are getting ready for school. Have to run them up the street in about 10 minutes... then I don't have to do ANYTHING all day... well... except dishes and some laundry, but that's typical.
