I have no...

I have no words to compare

no words to meet your words

I am almost too embarrassed,

too silly

too touched to speak

I want to cover my face like the Phantom

The limits of communication, like a cage,

I want to break with speed

I cant forgive you for being so wonderful to me,

'tread softly because you tread on my dreams.'

THE ALBATROSS

Often, to pass the time on board, the crew
will catch an albatross, one of those big birds
which nonchalantly chaperone a ship
across the bitter fathoms of the sea.

Tied to the deck, this sovereign of space,
as if embarrassed by its clumsiness,
pitiably lets its great white wings
drag at its sides like a pair of unshipped oars.

How weak and awkward, even comical
this traveller but lately so adroit --
one deckhand sticks a pipestem in its beak,
another mocks the cripple that once flew!

The Poet is like this monarch of the clouds
riding the storm above the marksman's range;
exiled on the ground, hooted and jeered,
he cannot walk because of his great wings.

Charles Baudelaire

It seemed urgent. Like the world was coming to an end, and everybody better quick and pick a buddy. And I wanted to say to her, “Look, some real **** ’s about to go down, and I’m gonna need someone, and so are you, and…” And she would look at me all brilliant and incredible, and she’d tell me “Yes,” she’d say, “Yes, I know. And yes, I’ll be your partner. I'll weather this massive storm with you, and you with me. I’ll be your bloody valentine.”

And then I’m in another room, and she’s not there, but I can hear her laughing – is it her – I think its her, she’s laughing in this awful way, and I think “She doesn’t love me,”.

This is where my eyelids flushed, when I began almost to waken up, and there was, as it were, the strains of mundane consciousness a’ creeping. You can’t fight that. Not when you don’t want to.

Daylight, wakefulness, and there is the distinctive flavor and memory of you. Feels like I just saw you now. It makes me miss you, makes my heart crumple, like an arthritic fist in my breast. “I miss you,” I say aloud, and almost believe that you can hear me. I don’t care where you are, or what you’re doing, only that you’re thinking of me. Missing me, as I’m missing you. Loving me with the same deep and restless love. Reaching out for me, even if I’m not there. And I know that, when I see you, your joyful gaze will break my heart again. I cannot bear it, the beauty of your way.

I am no more an enigma than you ... the smallest things can make me smile - raindrops in summer, a child's laughter. I am a simple person, just more in tune with Nature and the cosmos and receptive to all the gifts it has to bestow on me in its mighteous bounty.

I am a harvest child, full of a fair crop of stories and dreams, fantasies and beliefs. I just want to be, cherish the life that comes by and relish every breath.

You are a fabulous creature of might, so strong and ambitious and yet so bound by your soaring flights of glory. I would love to welcome you into my Eden of countless dreams, to wield the sickle and reap the harvest of wishes and hopes with me - but, whatever you do, dont look down! The sheer height of my soaring imagination can make you dizzy!

My favorite stories include that of the boy that never grew up and the girl who loved him to death. You are the wise Caterpillar to my Alice and my March Hare would not sway someone as strong and as tornadic as you ...

And now I feel the pain of missing you, yet it goes more than skin deep, living in my eyes like a half-awakened dream, slowly seeping into my sub-conscious, like a long-forgotten melody ... till all I feel is a sad longing for the unsaid, unspoken vision - so real and yet unseen.

where are you?

Damn the Uranus in Scorpio - why does it hurt so much?

Maya, do you like movies?

Did you ever see the John Cassavettes movie, "Faces"?

Have you seen "Magnolia"?

Those are two of my very favorite things.

What are some (more) of yours?

I see you like Lewis Carroll.

Did I tell you that I went to a boarding school, my sophmore year of high-school (partly to escape bullies, and partly because my two close friends had moved away), and got the lead role of little Jamie Thurbur, in 'Jaberwocky', an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical stories of James Thurber? It's named after Carroll's poem, which I spoke in the play, and which I'll try to recall now...

Beware the Jaberwock my friends
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch
beware the jub-jub bird and shun the frubious bander snatch!

Thats all I can remember right now.
We performed it in Mexico City.

Just discovered a fascination for faeries. Just like everything else in my life, I cannot bind my favorites to a few, for among all the beautiful colors of the crystalline kaleidescope, how can you choose a handful?

I adored Before Sunrise, hated the inane sequel, cannot figure out Eternal Sunshine and love Michael Crighton. I get engulfed in the mysteries Robert Ludlum weaves and adore the David and Goliath in Grisham's books.

My Bible is Tolkien, I adore Harry Potter and anything that has anything to do with magic - the magic of love and courage, of friendship and bravery.

My favorites are books picked at random at thrift shops and roadside sales - they offer the surprise and reality no bestseller can. I have a passion for reading, adore faery tales, even the non-credible ones. My mantra is Deep Forest, they fullfil my soul and bring me closer to the primal reality of the me-of-me.

I love music, my current melodious muse is Alanis, followed by Norah Jones and Dido. I also like Jason Wade and Amy Lee, though only occasionally. I sometimes drown in the inanity of Zero 7, a British group.

What kind of music do you like? Which melodies open your third eye?

Hi Maya and Steve -

Glad you 2 have found each other for friendship and support.

I have posted this poem before:

Look To This Day
For it is life,
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all
The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth,
The splendor of action,
The glory of power . . .
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream of
happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of
hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

Sanskrit Proverb

Steve,

Be honest and open and you will be okay. Hiding, sneaking, covering-up, secretiveness (Scorpion qualities?) - those qualities will hurt you. But, I am an Aries, and I can't relate to letting problems fester. Out with it, and it doesn't seems so bad.

I hope you do take into consideration some of the suggestions I have made.

Give your Mom a hug today.

Love,

Faeries? Cool.

How can you pick a favorite?
Thats what's so great about people like us; we can be anybody.

Yeah, I didnt think the sequel (Sunset) was so hot either. Eternal Sunshine wasn't worth figuring out, but I really liked Vanilla Sky (similarly off-beat). Never read Crighton of Ludlum, but you and my mom could probably talk for hours.

Tolkien! Faery tales are cool. Deep Forest - I think they put out a video when they first came out and I was mad into the music. Like, some kid travelling the world, or something.

I like Alanis, Norah, and Dido. Don't know the others, but I bet I'd like them too.

I should listen to more spiritual music sometimes. I'm kind of oblivious. My "third ear" dries up, then somebody plays something for me, and its like giving me a meal, when I didnt know how hungry i was. I'm so absent minded, I tend to neglect a lot of things like that - seemingly little things, that can actually make a profound difference.

I listen to Nirvana, Jane's Addiction, Primus, Neutral Milk Hotel, weezer, Ween, The Beattles, John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, Tori Amos, P.J. Harvey (older stuff), Amy Mann, Beethoven (lol)....

I listen to Shamanic drumming, or the speaking voice of Thich N'hat Hanh, when I really need to hear "something else".

Stephen

hi key,

I have a Uranus (planet of truth) very closely Conjunct the Midheaven (ideals), and fairly closely Conjunct Venus (love) and the Sun (spirit), Moon in the 1st, and a close Mars/Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius, in the 10th, so, as concerning Scorpios, I'm probably about as direct and upfront as they come. When ambiguity arises, it is almost always unintentional, and just comes with the territory; that being my own exceedingly ambiguous nature.

peace,
hsc

Are you sure you dont have a Fish somewhere in your chart? You are so elusive,I have a hard time catching up with you!

Wow! Tori Amos huh? I havent heard a lot of the others but it sounds like its on the lines of Evanescence (Amy Lee) and Lifehouse (Jason Wade). I love Breathing and Beautiful the most from the latter's hits and what can I say abt Evanescence, they touch something deep inside me. And Kurt's story is folklore, it entices me endlessly, especially my fishy moon

What is it abt Led Zeppelin that so attracts deeply emotional broken souls? Convert me, Steve, I need a new religion.

Love

My South Node (the Dragon's tail) is in Pisces - I express the Piscean aspects of my nature effortlessly (much as the back end of a dragon "expresses itself"). They say it signifies past lives.

I think Neptune is strong in my chart, too. Besides that, its presently transiting my first house, and will be for the next decade or so.

Also, the Sun/Venus/MC/Uranus stellium is in the Pisces decan of Scorpio.

Led Zep, what can I say - what can be said about Led Zep. What makes them great. Well, I think its in the mystery of the loins. Its Rock and Roll, period. Either you dig the thick riffed symphonics, or you dont. I don't know.

I like Evanescence. That girl's voice is haunting, beautiful, heart-breaking. "Save me from myself." I know exactly how she feels.

I kind of wish someone would save me from the saviors right about now, if you know what I mean.

dark stormy clouds line my horizon ... why is it that my self destructive fears and consuming need to be lonely end up destroying what is the most precious to me ...

I have no dreams left to harvest ... the garden has dried ... and Im falling endlessly cause I made the mistake of looking down ...

I have nothing left to say to anyone ever again; I seem to cause more harm with my words than my silence ever could

I will miss you, Hades

This does not have to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, you know.

You have not fallen from your pedestal, maya.

If anything, you are beyond my grasp, now.
Your are likened unto the vestal virgins.
I will think no unholy thought of you.

But, wont you come down and play?
