Rescued doggie from the Humane Society. He's 2 or 3 years old and we named him Nanuq which is Eskimo for Polar Bear.

He's an American Eskimo Dog - smaller version of a Samoyed sort of!

Here he is at the shelter before we took him home. His coat was so matted it was like big rocks on his back because he had been sleeping in a dirt lot under cars.

This isn't him but this is what the breed looks like:

And here he yesterday and today after a trip to the groomer! They had to shave him because it was so matted and they even found porcupine quills in the matted hair!

How precious he is! I rescued my little Dolly dog from the pound two years ago. She had had a very rough life. Now she's happy and healthy and know she's very grateful of her home and "mom" because she's very protective. I'll bet your little guy will be too.

Hunter's tickled. Lots of opportunities just to laugh all day long. Actualy he faked being sick this morning so he could stay home with the dog. I let him get away with it this time.

funny, the company i workfor, works closely with another company called Nanuq! ...its a native owned coporation!

Rescued dogs are one of the bset companions! I too rescued a dog recently.
