Hi! I am just wondering what are your favorite summer movies?

Each summer I love to watch;

Fried Green Tomatoes
Paper Moon
To Kill A Mockingbird
Valley Girl

Hmmm can't think of anything else right now........

I'm not sure whether I'm drawn to certain films due to the seasons. Recently my boyfriend found a documentary he recorded years ago about collected words of wisdom from various native American Elders, he said it was called 'A Walk in the Sacred Manor'. And as the narrator calmly spoke, it showed BEAUtiful images of lush greeen wilderness and old photographs of the people. That was just amazing, to me.....
I feel like watching 'Dances with Wolves' again because I haven't seen it for AGES(!). I found my mums' copy of 'Into The West' on vhs yesterday and I put it on- it was magical, but it's hard to watch stuff when you've got a wee tot to entertain! Mind you, he liked it for a bit. We took him to a field with horses in recently, and he enjoyed stroking one. It made him laugh (bless!).

Hmmm.....I think I'll borrow my boyfriend's music videos of 'The Doors' and watch them again (nostalgia!). Maybe that's why I love them the best; better than all the rest...in the Indian Suuuummmer....Innnndian Suuuuummer! lol

I love all Johnny Depp films (EXCEPT 'Blow' and 'Fear & Loathing', lol). French films, like 'Amelie', 'The Girl on the Bridge' and 'The Eight Day'. Audrey Hepburn films such as 'Breakfast at Tiffanys'. Kiddie films. Woody Allen's 'Play it again, Sam' (LMAO).....Kevin Spacey films (K-Pax, American Beauty, Pay It Forwatd, David Gale) and the boy from 'Pay It Forward'(heartbreaking) & 'Sixth Sense' was
also in a film called 'A.I- Artificial Intelligence- AMAZING film- a real MUST- it's very original & DEEP.

Sorry- you only wanted to know about our summer films and I've given you a whole list! Ha ha!

BTW, I've seen 'Fried Green Tomatoes' too- its a really good film.

LOve and Blessings

P.S. love your Jimmy quote!

Come away, O human child
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
For the world's more full of weeping
than you can understand

-From The Stolen Child- William Butler Yeats
(and used in the film 'A.I- artificial intelligence')

Hi EsotericEm!! Ha ha now I am going to call you that!!

I used to rent that video of the Doors!! I don't know if my local video store carries it anymore........but it's sure awesome to watch!!!

That Native American documentary sounds really neat!

I never saw Artifical Intelligence.

Hi Archer!! Sorry I haven't seen you online in quite awhile - I haven't been on computer much lately except for last night and right now. Basically I have been just coming and going quickly. Saving Private Ryan is a bit too "much" for me but it's a nice film.

Every summer I get excited about those big budget movies coming out. But then I'd hear all the poor reviewes and decide to skip most of them. This summer so far I've seen "Mr and Mrs Smith" and "Batman begins". Other then that I don't have specific summer movies.

My girls got me to watch "White Chicks" the uncut version and except for when I was standing in front of the TV (to shield my boys who were fighting me to see, from the slumber party part where shes hitting the you know on her forhead) I laughed non-stop, that movie is toooo funny. If you haven't seen it, do.
