Has anyone seen the new movie yet? Was it really good? Sorry I spelled "chocolate" wrong.

Saw it yesterday tho I was not a huge fan of the original. I hear this one is more true to the book.

It was good - I love Depp's wardrobe. Oompa Loompas are just creepy. It's beautiful to look at.

Most people that I talk to LOVE IT.

Oooohh I just came came back home after seeing it with my little boy and hubbie.............I thought it was amazing, well more to the point Johnny was legendry...........funny weird, funny, dark, funny funny........... and gorgeous too!!!

No coincidence that Gene Wilder who played the original Wonker and Johhny are Geminis - what amazing energy they both had, something distinctly sardonic about both of them.

I am gonna buy a copy of this for home to watch again.......and again.............a really cool film if you like that surreal and sardonic stuff - I LOVE IT!!!

Love

So sorry, but I hated it this film.

And for the first time I didn't care for Depp's acting. Seemed it was way over the top while he was trying to be understated, and he just came off as a weird Michael Jackson type--twisted, creeepy, and wants to play with children because of a traumatic childhood.

"Sky High" is a much better, more fun children's film, IMO.

But...to each her own.
