Oh Rainbow,

I'm terribly sorry. It's almost unfathomable how insensitive I can be sometimes.

Thank you very much for the award. It's very cool. I'm clearly not worthy.

Hope all is well with you,

AG

Solane,

You left out a rhyme based on your picture there. It's a Godin guitar, which may be a bit synchronistic as I'd really like to get a Godin at some point. It's french canadian, so I imagine it uses a french pronounciation and rhymes with all the words you used.

Do you sing or play, Solane?

--------------------------

Sue G,

I don't know if it's a sign of something bigger in the outside world, but I'm not currently trying to get on tv for anything. I thought I'd save acting for later in life. Old man roles seem like they'd be fun.

Oh, I WAS asked to start my new job this morning. My new boss woke me up with a call at 6:15 asking how quick I could leave what I'm doing and come to work. I told him not today, but I'd ask the guy I'm working for. The guy I'm working for is ok with me leaving whenever, so I start the new job tomorrow.

With regards to this thread, I'm kinda glad it's not huge. Seems more genuine this way. Wouldn't want people to make a fuss if they didn't feel it. I do wish a couple people would show up here, but one of them I've never seen post in FFA, so ...?

----------------

Sweetlibra,

Thanks for your kind words. The most decent guy? Ever? Wow! I'll try to keep up my standards of decency.

I like your signature by the way. Time and time again things have seemed unbearable, and time and time again things just seem to work out. It's nice not to have to worry as much as we think we should.

------------------

Cappy me,

Thanks. I'm glad you feel that way.

Love and happiness to you as well

AG

AG!!! No I don't sing or play, but music has always been my balancer in life and when nothing else works, music always does calm my soul. I also have a great ear for sound and only have the best of sound equipment, or it just hurts my ears.

I love to dance and feel the music, and let the beat move me!!!

When I learn to play, I would love to learn to play the harp. They have a Home County Folk Festival ever year and people come and play the harp and I could just sit and listen all day. There is also a man that comes and brings his hand crafted harps there for sale. Their so beautiful and well crafted with lovely hand carvings on them. He also gives lessons at his home in town!!!

I think he will be the man I go and see!!!

My Family thinks I'm nuts because I would like to learn the harp and ask me why I would want to harp about it???

Thanks again AG for asking!!!

New job is cool! They don't know what to do with me yet, so it's been a little slow for me, but I've learned some interesting things.

My first day was yesterday, and I was the first one here. At some point during my wait I decided to use the restroom. The office we're currently using isn't intended to be an office at all. It's a small two bedroom house (a half of a duplex), so the single bathroom in the place has a toilet next to a shower enclosure, which has no door or curtain. Sitting in the shower enclosure is America's First Freedom magazine, official magazine of the National Rifle Association. I thought, "Oh no. Ok, I can't talk politics with him (the magazine is a huge indication that he's of opposing political views to my own). I've been down that road with other bosses, and I'm going to be good this time. I'm not going to start an antagonistic relationship with him." So that was clue number one about him.

Next, I ask Barbara, the General Manager and only other office person, when Scott's birthday is. She says, "March," so I think Pisces. Interesting. Wouldn't have expected that. "29th, I think." OHHHhhh, an Aries. Wow! Didn't know what to think about that. Thoughts run through my head about how working here feels right, like it was fated to happen. I start thinking to myself that maybe the lessons I learn at this job will be different than the ones I anticipated. Perhaps I'll gain more insight into my Aries father through Scott.

Later, when Scott was around we got to talking, and there's something particularly unusual about him. It seems that, because he let me know right off the bat that he speaks bluntly, I feel more comfortable just saying whatever I feel like saying around him. I can't recall ever having easier conversations with an Aries. He listens. He seems to understand where I'm coming from. We even discussed him being an Aries, and how that correlates to my personality and how it may correlate to my relationship with my dad. He was very upfront about problems his brothers had with their dad, as well as his own son's problems with him (he admitted to me that his son knows of him having cheated on his son's mother).

Further, I told him my first impression, and how that impression has changed as we've come around to working together. So far this has been quite remarkable for me. He's been very respectful, and while he's told me that he butts heads with Barbara, our Taurus (go figure), I don't really feel any distrustful thoughts about him. I don't feel like we're going to clash in big ways. He seems to appreciate my point of view on things. We've talked a few times now about goals, and what I'd like to see for myself here. I think that telling him these things has actually inspired confidence. He's always thought my personality would be a good one to work with, and I think our talks are reinforcing that for him.

So everything is quite good at the moment. I'm anxious to see what happens now. I'm going to do my best make the company more successful. Everything's in disorder now, but if we can find some order I think we'll go places.

'Course money spells are easier, huh?

Let the lessons begin!

AG

(Oh, and interestingly, he's got the same hands as my dad. Very meaty and thick.)

I suppose I have to add another round of applause after our yahoo chat the other evening, (but its a very dangerous thing to do to build up the male ego too much!!) by the way did I mention I play the flute? ( especially like the blues)

See AG, I came on this thread finally realising I couldn't resist posting any longer and was going to say something really nice about you.

However, I have since decided (in an extremely practical manner) that you have recieved far too much praise. It's not healthy. Everyone should stop now before you ruin this poor man's delicate mindframe.

Please, no one hurt me.
I'm in a silly mood today.

lol MNF

Thanks TINK! That was really NICE of you...lol

I have a question for all of you. I've collected a whole lot of information about myself based on tests I've taken and so forth. Would anyone take interest in that info if I posted it, or would it just seem too egotistical?

OK let me get this straight ..... you've collected information about yourself, based on personality tests you've taken about yourself that you would like to share with us?

And you want know if that's egotistical? Nah.

I think we've got you figured out though, AG. (why else would there be a fan club?)But why are you so unsure? Why the tests? And why collecting the info? What can a test tell you that you don't already know?

Oh lots, TINK. I'm constantly trying to get to know myself. That's how I ended up here.

It may be a matter of my not being able to articulate who I am, so I look to see what other things would say about me.

I collect the info, honestly, because I feel like I'm too quiet about myself in person. Right now I could put a small book together for anyone who wanted to get into my head. Of course I've never offered that to anyone until now. It's also interesting to go back and review these reports from time to time.

I guess it's just part of my introversion and growth process.

I thought it might be taken too egotisticly, and if I actually put some of the stuff up it would probably seem more so, as there are some pretty positive reports. Oh well. Just a thought.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm all for self-reflection and self-evaluation. The unexamined life is not worth living and all that jazz. Big believer in it. But most of the personality tests I've seen are somehow lacking. I've found the best way to learn about me is a good, long, look in the mirror via interaction with others. It's the quickest way to bring out the ugly stuff, and very helpful, I think, if you can get past the self-defense mechanism.

The deep, dark, truthful mirror.

For someone so seemingly confident in himself, I'm surprised you're interested in what a test would say about you. "pretty positive reports", huh? So hit us with a test and we'll critique
