For those who dislike the pill/IUDs/etc., why not try the minipill (progestogen-only)?I am on it and I like it. It lacks most of the bad side effects of the regular pill because it lacks the artificial estrogen. You have to be a control freak about taking it at the exact same time each day, though, and it's somewhat less effective than the regular pill (though about the same as a copper IUD, I think, and better than a diaphragm or condom?), so backup is a good thing. Just a thought. IP: Logged |

Now I know for sure that I am never, never going to get one of those things fitted! Like pixelpixie, the thought of it has made me feel nervous in the past, though people have recommended it to me. Nevertheless, I think the pill may be the right thing for me.....in 9 months time.... Healing light to you Proxieme! We womb-bearers all do feel for you, poor soul. Positive thoughts and all will be fine. IP: Logged |

Ouch, it pains me just to think about it. I don't like pills either, although a friend recommended Ortho Low and I'm considering it. I've never liked the idea of messing with my body, but hey you have to be cautious and responsible. I've read that the herb Blue Cohosh was used by Native American women to prevent pregnancy. Natural methods of prevention are attractive, but as someone else mentioned should be well researched beforehand (:Healing Light to you Proxieme IP: Logged |

boy, I feel bad for you guys (thank god I made it through menopause and the shop is closed !!!!)be very careful of anything that seriously messes with your hormones.... (pills, etc) ramifications system wide you can will only realize till it's too late.... beats me what the answer is.... barrier methods should be the best (doesn't mess with your internal systems!) hope they'd come up with something better.... hard to fool with mother nature, human nature is bred to procreate..... so glad I'm done... at least for this lifetime!!!

Lol, lucky you. Seriously, I'm looking forward to no longer having to worry about it. I hate the idea of hormones wrecking my sytem haywire. It stinks being young and fertile sometimes I go for the barrier methods, but yeah I still worry about it. I don't want the Cancer spreading himself too much... Not looking for a crablet/archerette anytime soon IP: Logged |
