Btw, scoring so high on your EQ means you practically got it made in the shade, you know that, don't you? I have read that emotional intelligence is what makes or breaks a person's success -- having a high EQ is more important than IQ, talent, drive, whatever.

The reason I am asking is that.... well, to be honest, you don't look or sound like a Gem rising. Sorry, but you just don't. Looking at your picture at the site I might have pegged you as a Cancer or a Taurus, perhaps, staying within the vicinity of that particular part of the wheel, but not a Gem. And another thing, I know that a planet in the first house can alter the appearance too. (I'm an example of this myself.) And you have Saturn in your first house, man!! Impossible! The typical Saturn look is Dr. Spock, ok, exaggerated, but you get the idea. A saturnine look would be an elongated face with thin lips. No way around that. I strongly suspect that whoever wrote down your birth time made a mistake, it happens all the time.

Whta usually happens is that people look either like their Sun sign, their Asc., or the planet(s) in their First house. You have, according to this chart, a double whammy cappy here with your Sun sign in Cap and Saturn supposedly in the First! And you manage not to look like a Cappy, or a Gemini... How does one explain such a thing??

I don't mean to sound argumentative, I am intrigued, is all, because to me it is endlessly fascinating how astrology reveals itself in the facial features (I have a thing about faces, I am very sensitive to them, I love to draw people) and bodies of people. So I am trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.

The way to find out is to go through the descriptions pertaining to aspects to the Asc, and planets in houses, and being honest about it. Some things might sound flattering, and you may feel that you could be like that, but you may not really be? It's easy to get drawn into these descriptions when they sound good... Do you feel comfortable with the description of Neptune in the 7th, opposition your Asc.? Or any of the aspects to your Asc.? And so forth.

Honestly, I'm not sure about looks, and people looking like they're supposed to due to astrology. I'm not trying to defend my birth time. I just think that maybe there's some variety of what people can look like. I took my birth time directly from my birth certificate, and I wouldn't guess that the folks in the suburban city of Orange, CA would screw that up. Not saying it's impossible, but it is a pretty modern place.

When I was young I matured and looked mature early as Saturn is supposed to do. I had my growth spurt in 6th grade. I was as tall as an adult in junior high, and I pretty much stopped growing in height around my sophmore year. I'm about 6' even.

Now I'm 32, and people think I look younger. I got carded before sitting down at a poker table around Christmas this past year. Seems fairly Gemini-ish. I did smoke for about 12 or 13 years, which is also very Gemini-like (though the fixed signs seem to have this propensity too).

Would I bet my money on it? If he doesn't "know" - just like all of us, he can only know through hear say - then I can't loose, right?

Do I feel it all fits? I've had some time to get used to it by now, so I'm not certain I can be absolutely objective. I'd have to read another chart based on a different time to really know, and I can't do that right now.

When I read that first report about Gemini Rising I find the statements to be accurate. The only statements that I find to be untrue are:

"you never appear heavy or somber." (I'm a Cap after all.)

"You may seem frivolous to other, more serious souls." (Once again, I'm a Cap and frivolous is the last word you'd use to descibe a Cap)

"You become nervous and fidgety if things are not moving quickly enough." (Actually I'm quite frequently fidgety regardless of the situation.)

"You tend to become an incessant chatterbox or gossip if you do not have work or other activities that utilize your mental, verbal, and social skills." (I don't know about 'incessant,' but the rest is true.)
