Go for it...I LOVE yoga...started it a year ago last September. Practice it at home in between classes to take full advantage. One thing I like about it, is yoga will help you in just about every area of your life...mainly stress!Laura IP: Logged |

Yes. I LOVE YOGA!!!I learned a hatha set of asanas. They're amazing and easy to do for beginners. I still can't do the tricky ones, but ooooh my back feels great afterwards. I only do asanas because when I do a stretch then follow with a reverse stretch it gives me such an awesome feeling ...I think I'm addicted. I've made myself a powerpoint presentation with animated postures, about 40 or so. I try to use them daily. If anyone wants a copy of it I'll be happy to share. ------------------ Follow your own rainbow IP: Logged |

I love the slow moves.I do pilates, and I do want to take a yoga class, I used to do it with my Oma when I was a child....I feel so strong, flexible and supple when I do those slow controlled movements.. very different than dancing all night, and being on my feet all day at work.

WaterNymph. "always wanted to"..? but not bad enough eh?Come on guys, lets communicate. Please don't continue this lazy speech. Which "Yoga" do we mean ???? Hatha, Bhakti, Karma, Kria, Kundalini, Yana, Tantric? They are all different. Just like Martial Arts. So many forms and styles, all for different purposes. If you want a REAL Yoga, try Kia-Men the Chinese Yoga: Its different than the Indian Hatha because there is always movement. No stationary holds and pauses which allow energy to congeal. IP: Logged |

I've been doing it for 4 years. Things I can attribute to yoga: 1) Decreased back/neck pain
2) Lower stress 3) Deeper connection to myeslf/universe 4) New friends 5) Ability to control stress when it confronts me 6) Stronger body, more flexibiliity. I think all corporations should offer yoga classes in the morning and afternoons, I bet it would increase their productivity immensley.

Hatha for few years, but didn't really like the teacher. Nothing bad, but just didn't feel right. And I didn't have preservance to keep the habit alone. Now I'm taking dance lessons from a lady who also teaches Kria yoga. I really like her dance classes and think making a new attempt. ------------------ No hesitation. No regret. No looking back.
