I don't think I project myself different on-line as opposed to "real-world". Except no one generally sees my temper, or when I'm not in a socialable mood how I disconnect to be alone, or know how I leave my dirty towel on the bathroom floor, etc. I do think I come off a little anal on-line sometimes. I think that one of the problems (??)that "some" people have is that it can be easy to over romanticize a person. If someone is only showing a certain amount of their personality, there's generally another side to them that you don't see. This is where I can see someone getting disappointed when meeting in person. All the natural human flaws aren't really considered. If someone were projecting themselves as something completely different than what they really are, I wouldn't think they would be interested in meeting outside of the internet anyway. They would be seen as a sham. Well, just my thoughts. Not the law for everyone. ___________________________________________ Scorpio sun, venus, mars, mercury and uranus Libra moon, pluto and asc. I've met one person from this site He was over here from the UK on his way up to see his then-girlfriend in NYC and was pretty much the same as he seemed here. He said that I was the same, just more quiet (I used to be the biggest LL blabbermouth). IP: Logged |

I've made some wonderful friends online who were just as wonderful in person, including a Knowflake who was lovely. We had a few beers in a cool Irish bar in Chelsea, that had the biggest bathrooms I've ever seen in a bar anywhere in Manhattan. One of my best friends in this lifetime is another Knowflake. Life is life. We meet people with whom we bond, and some are just for a little while. We meet jerks everywhere, not just online. If I feared meeting someone, I would listen to my inner self and not meet that person, just as I wouldn't have a beer with the guy at work who taunts the gay guy or scratches his *ss with a fork from the communal kitchen. It's our expectations that get us in trouble every time. ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls IP: Logged |

*lovely,My city is in what's called the East Bay here (it's a pretty huge area -a couple counties). I'm pretty much at the very eastern edge of it. You could probably go one more city inland and still consider yourself in the East Bay, but two cities, and you're definitely out of the Bay Area. When I go to southern CA for Christmas I spend time at my uncle's in Costa Mesa, and my older sister's in Santa Ana on the edge of Garden Grove. My young niece is going to be getting paid to sing a solo in the Crystal Cathedral's Glory of Christmas this year. Oh, also, I grew up in Tustin myself. I keep thinking about how your hubby would fit right in in my family. My mom and all of her three brothers are Leos. Strange to think about every kid being born the same sign. Their parents are Sag and Pisces. IP: Logged |

Tink I hope some day we do meet, even if it is at the end of the earth. And you know, I have a feeling we just might have a chance to meet in this here/now. And thank you for such a lovely compliment; I would be honored to meet someone who inspires me as you do.Hope you don't mind that I'm shoddy, ill-tempered, smell of cat litter and shuffle around mumbling about the government in my fuzzy pink slippers. ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls IP: Logged |

And so enters the Knowflake of whom I spoke in an earlier post; the dear friend of this and many lifetimes. FK, I'll bet you have fuzzy slippers that would match mine, though I daresay they're not pink. Pink just wouldn't do in the wild, would it? ------------------ The less I seek my source for some definitive, the closer I am to fine. -Indigo Girls IP: Logged |

MG, you are young~ and allowed to love a show like Laguna Beach. I have the best of both worlds.. an incredible sunset over the water every night..and the mountains back up to my yard. AG, we should meet for coffee when you're down here. Also I think Leos and Gems have a lot of karma with Caps. Don't know why, but just my personal observation. IP: Logged |

hey lovely, if i remember right ur an aries? i have noticed a strange karma with fire signs, there is this kind of burning desire and strange inexplicable bond myself being a Gem maybe its the 9th house stellium plus venus singleton in aries (venus - chart ruler)--especially with the Leo and aries. i dont know about caps but they always do end up liking me. theres few signs i inherently dont understand--with the rest there is mutual understanding, respect, and friendship if not love. the ones that i can never seem to get are : cancer men, virgos, scorpio, sag, pisces.... Love SG IP: Logged |

We'll have to see when it gets closer. I started a new job recently, and I work in a three person office. My boss says she typically takes a week off at Christmas, so I have a feeling my trip this year may be short. IP: Logged |
