Aqua,
I 've been trying to recover from the emotional pain my friend put me through this week.I'll get over it.As far as moving is concerned,it's a brainteaser. If anybody konws any affordable places to live, please do so by posting it here.

You could live in Southern Alabama...it's very affordable!
Close-ish to the Gulf Beach, lots of beautiful farmland, fireants, with black widows and brown recluses everywhere.

And, OH!
The thrill of knowing that a tornado's only a few miles away!
("What happened to Wendy's?"
"Tornado got it.")
I'm not sure if that can be replicated...
Except, perhaps, by the wonderful guessing game,
"Where's the CAT 4 Hurricane going to make landfall?"
Should I pick-up and strap-down everything that's not attached to the ground?
Should I just say, "Feck it!" and head north?
And just how much did that power generator cost again?

You could find a fantastic job at Wal-Mart or...processing peanuts...

(Moral of the Story: If someplace is inexpensive, there's usually a reason...or ten.)

I've been told that the South is affordable living there. My husband is from Tulsa,OK.He had many encounters with tornadoes. One time,he was driving in his car,and a tornado was right in from of him!.Don't worry he's still alive.Affordable living in South eh?.I'll go to the library and check it out.Thanks.

It's incredibly affordable, granted you can find a job. People can conceivably live on minimum wage down here (not very well, mind you, but it can be done - while it just can't be done in say, DC).

What field are you/your husband in?

Well my former friend who posted messages on this forum did say several things right. My husband was a keyboardist for a Doors cover band called "Morrison Underground".Unfortunately, the wife was a drug addict did not pay her employees. She had a falling out with my husband as well as other band members.Nowadays,he's a telemarketer. You know ones who ask twenty questions, and you hang up?.That's how I met my husband.I myself have worked three telemarketking jobs doing the same thing.

You'll probably have to move in closer to the cities, then (which aren't as incredibly affordable as down here, but still are much better than cities any many other parts of the country).

Huntsville's up north and is an absolutely beautiful town - do you like mountains?

Don't know about mountains.Haven't been up the mountains here in Honolulu since age five.My church memebers who are now dead used to live in the Papakolea mountains.Papakolea,is a Hawaiian Homestead.I wish I could live there.I only have five percent Hawaiian as well as other ethnic backgrounds.Fifty percent or hundred blood quantum will do,in order to qualify for homestead here.I've talked to some native Hawaiians at my church. They said it's useless because like welfare, your on a waiting list. Many of them had to wait till midlife just to get a home!.

Well, you could come right here to Tahlequah Oklahoma!! Beautiful green country, lots of water, rivers, lakes and creeks, fairly low housing and there are at least two corporations in town that hire telemarketers. There are also some really good bands that your husband could join up with. I can't imagine leaving Hawaii but if that's what you need to do....come on down!
