Uh, slavery was a common practice throughout the world. It wasn't until the Americans, not the Europeans who brought slavery to America, voted to end slavery that the slave trade began to dissapate and we saw it's demise.

Excuse me, but the last time I looked the average income of the American person was sooo much higher than most countries in the world. Also, the poverty rate in America is something like 20K for a family of 4. That amount of money would keep a small African town fully functional for an ENTIRE year.

It's easy to forget what REAL poverty is when you are living in the richest country in the world, I know

Income being high doesn't change anything. Especially in this city you have to work to live. A 1 bedroom apartment for rent here is $1,300.00 or more. Give me a damn break about high income.

Me and my co worker wer ejust talking the other day about how people in other parts of the world tend to think it's just a big party here and everyone's rich. Sorry sweets but it ain't like that.

I felt bad the other day. a mexican man was outside cyring. Just arrived in a van. Left his wife and children behind. It was raining that day and cold. I felt so bad. He said he thought this country was different.

Open your brains up people.

You should see how many people are living in poverty in this country also. you should see how many homless people are here.

It's always been this way.

But then again you will learn some day when you actually live here

I think it's pretty obvious. What you want me to call all american's the creators of jazz? Saying all americans is saying arab americans, hispanic americans, chinese americans, etc.

Of course African Americans are who started jazz...that is why I said that.

BTW, I was born and raised in the US and lived pretty much two-thirds of my life in the States and am 1/2 American...so I do have a little first hand knowledge.

The AFRICAN AMERICANS are the ones who should have that credit Not Americans as in all colors and all types.

It's like saying a chinese person invented salsa music.
