Hey,

I hear you, and I agree, a sun/moon square can potentially be a very productive and rewarding aspect. I've no doubt that you'll continue to make the best of it.

All the best people, all the complex people, are full of contradictions.
What does Whitman say:

"Do I contradict myself?
Very well, then, I contradict myself.
I am vast. I contain multitudes."

Let me know your Ascendant when you find out.
I love mysteries, lol.

'Zala's got the Pisces Moon. Mine's in Aquarius, but its in the 1st house, and in a fairly close semi-square to Neptune, so, that would partly explain the sensitivity. My South Node and Prenatal Lunar Eclipse are both in Pisces, and these, particularly the latter, are said to confer great sensitivity.

My Ascendant is Capricorn, w/ Aquarius intercepted; meaning that most of the sign/house couplings in my chart correspond to an Aqua Asc.

The contrast of a Cappy Asc, w/ a first house Moon (i.e. the Father and Mother archetypes) must have something to do with me being a relatively complex individual. The Asc is also square Pluto. Besides that, the two strongest signs in my chart, Aqua and Scorp (My Sun, Venus, and Midheaven are all closely conjunct Uranus, ruler of Aquarius), form a Square aspect. The mixture of Scorpio intensity and Aquarian detachment is weird, to say the least. My 1st house Moon, childlike and dependent, is totally at odds with a Midheaven Sun, commanding and ambitious. What else... My ascendant ruler (Saturn) is in Virgo, and this is at odds w/ my Mars/Merc conjunction in Sag.

I could probably go on, but I've taken enough of your time,
and even I'm losing patience with myself.

take good care,
~ hsc

Hi HSC! I'm sorry I'm just getting to responding, I've been working double shifts at work this week so I've hardly been home.

Thanks you made me feel a little better about having that Sun/Moon square. It could definitely make you a more interesting person I suppose. I find the hardest part about that square is how it effects my relationships. The Leo sun wants lots of passion and romance with true love. My moon wants me to be comfortable and stable with someone and to stay in the relationship even when the passion is gone or never began. I find myself hanging on longer than I think my sun can take it and it makes me unhappy. One of these days I'll figure out how to deal with that.

Sorry for the moon mix up. So your luminaries are squared as well.. That must be interesting to say the least, having an aqua moon with scorpio. With your mixture you have one of the most intense sensitive signs with one of the most light and airy ones. How do you combine those energies?

And wow you know much more about astrology than I do given the other aspects you mentioned. Right now I'm on a very basic level, so those examples were a little over my head, but very interesting.

Well I'm off to bed now, looong day! Sorry again for this being a little late. Talk soon, byee.

Monica

Hi Monica,

Dont sweat it, everything happens at the perfect time. Besides, if your response wasnt delayed, I wouldnt be so pleasantly surprised to receive it. I'm sorry to hear that you've had to work such gruelling hours.

Hey, you know, your sun and moon, like mine, might only be squared by sign, but not by "orb". Unless the angle is within 10 degrees of exact (90 degrees), it would not qualify as a true square. The closer it is to 90 degrees, the more serious. The moon moves fast, so you'd need to know your time of birth. Of course, if you had an especially difficult childhood, and/or your parents were seemingly mismatched, chances are you do have the sun/moon square.

You know, Taurus is quite the romantic in its own right (remember, it is ruled by Venus). Although not given to the same kind of overtures and displays as Leo, Taurus can be a truly hopeless romantic, in its quiet way, and a very adoring and devoted partner. Leo expresses its love with greater ease and frequency, but Taurus is a better listener. Both are fixed signs, so both tend to stick around, although, its true, Leo, being a fire sign, is often restless and feels like it might be missing something. It sounds like you have a pretty good understanding of yourself. People toss off cliched bits of advice, like, "just listen to yourself", but I know its difficult when you're torn between one part of yourself, which tells you to stay, and another, which tells you to go. Sometimes you dont know till you know. You know?

"...you have one of the most intense sensitive signs with one of the most light and airy ones. How do you combine those energies?"

Thank you for asking. I think I tend to rely on the aquarian tendency to analyse myself too much, as a way of making sense of my emotions. But I do this with such intensity, that it never really has the desired effect of chilling me out. Since the signs get more complex as the zodiac progresses, it wouldnt be entirely accurate to think of Aquarius as "light", even though it is an air sign. In fact, you could say that the Aquarian emotional nature is so deep and complex, that the only thing for them to do is to detach, and escape into the relative safety of the intellect. Either that, or become a Pisces.

Its over my head, too, to tell you the truth. I'm pretty good at repeating what I've read, though, and I guess I've read kind of a lot.

take care,
try not to push yourself too hard,

Steve

Hi Steve! I don't mean to keep this string going forever but I just wanted to say thanks for your astrological insights. It seems like you have a good mixture of knowledge and intuition, making you an ideal astrologer. I love to hear your descriptions of various aspects, with your intuitive spin on a chart. Actually it motivated me to try and track down my birth time sooner. So thanks again for your thoughts and encouragement. Your such a beautiful soul, take care

You're welcome. Wow! Monica, I feel so good, thank you for all the gorgeous things you said. I think you must be a truly beautiful soul, yourself, to say such things. So, wait, does this mean you were able to track down your birth time, or, still trying? I hope you'll let me know.

Take Care,
Steve
