Rainbow, that's a great story.

You know who you remind me of in that pic? Did you ever see the movie 'Muriel's Wedding"? The part where she marries that German(golf? tennis? football? can't remember which sport) star, so he can stay in the country? It's so funny. She's this dorky strange girl who somehow gets herself asked to marry a sports star just to keep him in the country legally. She has that expression on her face through the whole ceremony it's great. It's that same girl who plays Cameron Diaz's sister in that new film that's out "In Her Shoes".

PS, I'm not saying you're dorky & strange at all....please don't think that. I just mean, that movie, that scene. That facial expression. That's what it reminded me of.

Lioneye....glad you liked my "memoriable moment."

As for "Muriel's Wedding;" I didn't see it, but if I have the chance I will....sounds like fun....

As for the "dorky expression"....I know what you mean there too, and no offence taken....

......but you meant something like this huh?

(actually, that's the way I felt...tee hee)

Rainbow ~

Like pixie, I clicked "Next" and "Next" and "OK"..... your story is as captivating as your huge heart. Thank you for sharing it with us!

It's a gorgeous, cloudless sunny day here, although the temp is 20 and I've had some happy moments today reflecting on the Opportunity I've been given to touch and be touched for yet another day on this beautiful Earth.....

'Zala

PS: Is it you playing the music at your site?? And who did the "treespirit" drawing??

'Zala.....

Thank you for your very kind thoughts...(did you check out my whole website?) If so, that's quite an undertaking...*sigh*

In answer to your questions: no it's not my music you hear...just something I found on the web....

....and about "tree spirit" graphic....it was something that I found on the web too, but it was so long ago, I forgot where I got it now...I've had the website for over five years...

Glad you enjoyed your "sunny" day...it was sunny here too, and it reminds me that spring is on the way.... ah - I can hardly wait....

Okay....just so you guys don't think that I've had only ONE memorial moment in my life , I just recalled another....(and I'm sure there are more, as well as more to come)

I wrote this last April on THE MARY SUMMER RAIN THREAD

I just witnessed the most incredible sunset! *sigh*

God is truly an artist!

Sitting in my computer room this evening, looking out my large window (which affords me a sweeping view of the surrounding landscape), I felt truly blessed as I experienced one of nature's most gloriously spectacular shows....

It was almost too beautiful to describe, and left me very moved..and privileged to have been witness to such an awesome sight. It was pretty close to mystical for me...

As juni knows, I live on an Indian
reservation here in Michigan.

My house is situated on a high hill which has been cleared of an old cherry orchard (which no longer bore fruit), to build homes for those of us in our tribe who choose to live on the reservation.

Along the edge of the hill looking west, stands a line of trees that were not cleared, but they are not so thick as to block the veiw beyond, which is pretty great! The trees appear as silhouetts since the leaves are not in full bloom yet, allowing one to see beyond the black outlines of their trunks and branches...

.....and...

.....beyond my silhouetted tree lined hill lies a valley which stretches about two miles west to the Lake Michigan shore where I can see parts of the lake as well as tree covered bluffs....very beautiful....

And every evening as the sun goes down (when it's not cloudy), I am witness to God's spectacular artwork. No two sunsets are alike, but I can be assured that they are always breath taking......

I am a very lucky person!

Thank you Great Spirit!

Miigwetch Gitchi Manitou!

Happy Moment yesterday;
Dave Matthews Band Concert, swaying to some lovely and truly awesome music with hubby.

My son's teacher called last weekend to say he had just finished a story my son wrote, and that it blew him away, it was phenomenal, and he was getting an A+. He called to say that, he was proud of him. AND he centred him out in front of the class, to say he was getting the best grades in class.
He needs encouragement, so he shines in this environment.
I hope next years' teacher continues to encourage him.
( HIs teacher is getting a great summer thank you gift!!!!)

I've been trying my hand at gardening, and finally have some flower shoots popping up. For whatever reason, they just wouldn't "take" (like my carrot seeds, unfortunately), but I now have some Carnation, English Daisy, Lavender, and Lupine shoots.. they must have liked the kelp mixture I added to their soil the other day.

I also have a nice looking tomato plant, cucumber plant, and strong broccoli shoots that I'm hoping to move out of pots and into the ground, as soon as I get the earth sorted out.

It doesn't match the rest of your happy moments, but I've been in a horrible mood for the past couple of days and I'm thrilled that something worked for those seeds.

The nature of happy moments is that they are personal happy moments.

A vain one?
I am looking better. More fit. Back to where I am comfortable. ( wearing a short summer skirt today, and liking my muscles)

Hey, It's a happy moment too.
No judgements on the happies.
