My Happy Moment Today:

I'm cleaning while listening to/watching the tribute to George Harrison DVD. As I ducked into the kitchen for a spoonful of Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Ice Cream (HEAVEN in a little cylindrical box) "Old Brown Shoe" came on. As I pranced (yes, pranced) back into the living room Meg began her "Happy to Be Alive" Dance (which consists of her twirling in circles with her lips puckered).
I then danced my "White Girls Can't Dance" Dance around Meg while listening to a good song done well with a mouthful of blissful ice cream.

A perfect moment in time

What was your most joyful moment today?

My perfect moment was envisioning your perfect moment.
.............and by the way, that ice cream flavour sounds like it should come with 'caution tape'
especially right here right now.

***almost feels justified in asking for an emergency grocery store run for reformed smokers... but I soooooooooo don't want to gain weight.
*cries*

Come on Prox, I have to agree with Pixel that it was very nice to visualize that complete scene. Except for the choice of ice cream...LOL! Try some chocolate syrup on that next time

My happy moment was hearing a song in WorldSpace by Duran Duran "Come Undone" when my mood was for listening to a song of that type. It reinforces my belief in synchronicity.

BTW Prox, I found some excellent links in the numerology of your name and hubby's name and your birthdates. Lemme put it all together in a separate thread.

Yesterday I spent a few hours sitting on a park bench on a trail path soaking up sunshine and enjoying the scenery of lush trees and shrubs. I could see new buds growing on bare branches. Spring is a month away.

oh, oh, I have one. This may sound corny:

My 14yr old son has a pretty nasty case of posion oak. At one point he was at his wits end with all of it, ointments, baths, makeshift ice packs........the ice packs leaked, regardless of what we did, lol He wanted to get the swelling around his eye down so he could go to school.

I found a small plastic container, filled it with ice chips and alchohol, and wrapped in cellophane, it fit his eye perfect and was very cold............

he gave an almost excited sigh of relief and you could tell he really appreciated me being his mom at that moment. Very hard to explain, just a very cool moment in time.

Here's a little one....

My daughter looking at me, sighing ( she's very dramatic) and saying
"I am so glad you are my mom."

I found out today that I have got a "Little" (Which means 'little brother') in my fraternity...Yeah! I've only been back a few weeks and I will now be helping someone else (a Scorpio gal, no less) along on their journey toward brotherhood I'm so excited.

ooooh, ohhhhhhhhh!!!
This one JUST happened.
I got a phone call from my daughter's school, a language pathologist who meets with the sr and jr kindrrgarteners to assess them, to see where they are.
Last year, they wanted me to look into her understanding/language ( she has that sweet imcomplete dsounds a lot of children have.. like 'r's sound like 'w' 'sh' sounds like 's'... stuff like that.
When i pursued it last year, they said she was doing just fine, and not to worry about it, as it is common.

Well, the teacher reassessed her, followed up today, and called me to let me know her progress...
She is in the 99th percentile.
She asked if I knew what that meant, I figured it meant she was 'normal',
She said.. "actually, it means if I speak to 98 children, she is above all of them in sophisticated words, sentance structure and comprehension."

So, I've got me another little genius.
Her brother is like that too.
I am beaming!!!!!

Huey, or perpetually thrilled to not be in the pound kitten, jumped up on our bed this morning.
He positioned himself next to the spooning, covered, sleeping bodies of myself and my husband, and let out a "Bbbrroow!"

Once we looked at him he began his total-sound-immersion purr-fest and climbed atop my curled self, got into cat pose, and contentedly made my upward-facing half vibrate.

When a friend of mine said to me

"I understand you Sue"

No one had said that to me before.....it made me cry, but I felt very happy at the same time...

Watching Meg twirl to Anoushka Shankar's solo at the beginning of the now almost always on in my house Concert for George.
I think it's her favorite part of the album
(I go through kicks.)

Dear Pixlepixie~~~~

Thank you so much for the kind remarks...

That page was taken from something I wrote called A FALL FROM THE TOWER (as in the number l6..)

I kinda used Linda Goodman's GOOBERZ style to tell the story...(okay, I ripped off the style)....

Gregory Ellison who had the original Linda Goodman website liked it, and kept it on his website for quite awhile...*sigh*...Greg, bless his soul, has since passed on.

Anyway, I added it to my regular website...as a sort of addition....

.....and here is that picture that Rob snapped of us that night..I look kinda happy, goofy, huh?

....and here is the license plate I had made that same year....(I finally gave it up after about 10 years with it on my car)

....and here is the poem I handed him that night...*sigh*

` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `TO HAL

` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `Wrapped in a rainbow....
` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Spun by the magic of his song
` ` ` ` ` ` ` `My spirit soars
` ` ` ` `Amidst the heavenly realms
` ` `of the universe
Touching joy!

His is the power
To enthrall, to captivate,
To coax into submission
A witness
To all the truth and beauty
That is his to offer

by me

Can you imagine a gramma having a "groupie/like" crush?????
