Right at this moment, I am listening to Coast to Coast AM Radio, there is a gent on that says Canada, America, and Mexico will become one country called The North American Union. He says BUSH, FOX and MARTIN signed some declaration to help stop Terrorism and enhance shipping and such, but its also a way to prepare for this one powerful country and that bush has planned this since he was in office.I find it really interesting, a caller sAid that during bushs questioning of illegals in american and what would he do (building fences and such) he stated, "I dont want to build fences, I want to build bridges" that would make since with the PUSHING to teach American children spanish, possible to get the next generation ready for the merger...2010, could it happen??? what do you think? http://www.spp.gov/ http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=15017 I always find it so amazing..american news and the BS they show on tele..the crap they can find, but no one has even mentioned this goverment website, of course inthe next couple of days, you'll see it on all the major channels...lol IP: Logged |

Hmm. Not entirely sure what to say about that. I'll have to read those articles when I get a sec. My mind immediately divided into 2 separate schools of thought when I read this, diametrically opposed to one another. Hmmmmm. IP: Logged |

But, Geoge Bush is now insisting that Canadians can't enter the U.S. without a passport anymore - so, that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of this objective - That's kind of unsettling, the conflicting messages. IP: Logged |

I hope so because my Astrology programme doesn't even have Canada in it's list of Countries.------------------ IQhunk - quote: Well, for every one point that all of you like about me, I can list three.

I got a email from Annie today and it was about this super highway they are talking of building from mexico to canada..the guy on that show was talking about this too. i am posting a bunch of links to it.I just think how sneaky our goverment can be, I mean the war is going on and such, so many things, but they don't even talk about this stuff on the television, or barely in the newspapers, makes me think that if they are hiding this, could it be bigger than the war, is war a distraction from these things. I got a funny filling this has something to do with Mexican Gold. http://www.keeptexasmoving.com/projects/ttc35/deis.aspx FUNNY BUT NOT SURPRISING ITS THROUGH *TEXAS* http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=15497 IP: Logged |

Why wouldn't we want to move people & goods freely thoughout North America? That's what you do with the bounty of the land. You spread it around. Ideally, people should be able to move freely throughout as well, but ...Eh - you know. Troubled times and all. We'll never lose our national identities, so don't worry about that. We'll probably be more like "Regions" to the rest of the world, but we'll still have our homebaked pride. What gives me pause, is that the U.S. can be somewhat "protectionist", while being the largest influence population wise. Not good for the pip-squeek country if the demands are in conflict. The U.S. has the majority vote hands down. IP: Logged |

I See your point, the only things is the here American jobs are affected, because of the Unions and such. I know many Unions control the flow of truck transportation through the country from mexico, The Unions make sure that the companies dont screw these guys and gals that drive for a living, but if this super highway moves through, there wont be a need for this and of course cheap labor from mexico will once again affect americans jobs and wages-since people will work for pennies, jobs here will be lost and nothing will really be fixed.America might have the upperhand, but its not helping American workers. The only thing it will be good for is reducing transportation of illegal immigrants, drugs and Terrorist...and still all three of those things will get through. IP: Logged |

Thorshammer, you raise a good point about cheap labor, and that would effect Canada as well, if brought in on a large scale. But, you know...it wouldn't take long for those cheap laborers to realize how underpaid & taken advantage of they were, and consequently demand more. Form unions specifically geared toward them...ect. And you couldn't blame them, because you can't kick a man (or woman) for trying to do better for themselves, right? Maybe they would just become a part of the same unions that already exists, and that would make it a more equal playing field across the board. And if you're in a particular field that has become flooded with experienced trademen in your area, you have to either be better, move elsewhere, or find another trade. It would all balance itself out in the end. The laws of supply and demand would see to that. People would adapt. Your right to a big peice of the pie does not supercede someone else's right to earn an honest living. Bummer for you, but true. Those who stand to lose the most are product manufacturers of Canada & Mexico, because the volume of goods coming out of the U.S. will glut the markets, cheaper too, because of the absence of import/export taxes & tarifs. The little guy won't be able to compete. It will put alot of small time businesses out of business. Much like Wall-Mart does when it moves into a small town. Honestly, I think we would all suffer somehow, but the U.S. has the most to gain.
