Wednesday
Thank you for telling of your self struggles.

D for Defiant
Alot of of us do know how you feel and alot here want to understand, and are trying to show you they care, in each their own ways.
I do not suffer from the same things but I do get the most terrible panic attacks. They are neurological damage in nature. My body often refuses to "listen" to me and it is very terrifying. During bad spells which can last from minutes to weeks...
I often feel like giving up.
It takes every erg of will and stubborness to get through at times.
At those times I MUST count my blessings. I must use those times to explore other aspects of myself, and remember and realize that many a eureka has come during the worse times.
Count your blessings when down.
You are alive. You do have options and potentials.
There are folks who care about you and want very much to see you succeed and find happiness!
I DO!
You are 1/2 my age.
You have so much promise in time to come to you!
IT WILL!
Grab your fear and slap it hard and say...
I WILL NOT GIVE UP!
DEFIANTLY DEFIANT!
You have been given a hard trial in life!
I believe you are meant to grow beyond it! To help others! To inspire others because you KNOW what HELL is! You CAN do it!
Your empathy for the suffering of others has been noticed by me.
You are WORTHY!
It would be a terrible loss to many now, and in the future, if you chose to bail on this incarnation.

But mostly it would be unfair to YOU!

YOU DESERVE to live and find your own way.
YOU WILL IF YOU CHOSE TO!
I BELIEVE IN YOUR POTENTIAL!
DO YOU HEAR ME?
You do not need another to "complete" you.
You are COMPLETE!
In time you will find your equal.
Find you, learn to love you. Then what you desire and truly need will come to you.

D for D, if it's any consolation, I am a manic depressive, too, and I join with your struggle to reassert your life on this plane. I have undergone tumultuous ups and downs in my emotional life, too, when I was younger. (I was diagnosed at 22, and was subsequently unable to finish Med school.) Suicide was an "attractive" option to me in those days, whether I was manic or depressed. Believe me, I know whereof you and I speak, because I've been there.

But please, suicide is so final a solution for something that (believe me) is only temporary. As our friends here keep telling you, "this, too, shall pass." You may just think that your situation is sooo long drawn out and there seems to be no end in sight, but there will be an end to it. Please trust me on this.

The approach that finally worked for me is consistent compliance with my psychotropic medications and follow-up visits to my shrink. This simple approach of mine is so effective for me that I just recently celebrated six relapse-free years! For someone who has lived with her illness for 14 years now, counting the last 6 years as relapse-free is no small feat. So, D for D, all I'm saying is that it is within the realm of possibility that you will overcome your illness and be healed. I am not saying that I'm now completely free of my manic depression--- it is, after all, a lifetime diagnosis--- but I try to live to the fullest within yet despite my limitations.

My friend, D for D, please tell me how I can further help you. You can reach me at the_blitz_ph@yahoo.com. From your fellow manic depressive who's surviving and thriving... Blitz

I am so happy you decided to stay in this world with us!

You can get through these hard times!

Oh I do LOVE this you said!
QUOTE:
"Your revenge...is to live."

And I should constantly remind myself of that, and plus living a good life the best I can, that will be one of the best forms of revenge.

YES! YES! YES!
BIG YES! !

Hold onto that my friend!
I am not done making my mark on this world and neither are you!

Lets me and you show the world what we are made of!
Sweet dreams!
Love
Fayte

"Your revenge...is to live."

Yeah. If I killed myself, my "enemies" would only be too happy to think, "I get to her." I wouldn't say that revenge is my motivation, but it would be nice to say to the person who hurt me, "You missed out."

You know, like Christina Aguilera. She was bullied in high school because of the MMC thing, then when she's become successful, she drove to the McDee drive through where one of the bully worked, and I forgot what she said to the bully but I remember it must be something like, "I'm a successful singer now and you work at McDonalds. Congratulations to you."

Living well is the best revenge.

my gratitude is beyond words- things in life to cherish, one of which being friendship, is so meaningful more than I can say. Let's share the survival spirit, and that brilliant quote written by some screenwriter over a decade ago-

"Your revenge...is to live."

And I'm glad that I finally remembered and understood that better.

>>>>Thank you my friend! The feeling is mutual! Your spirit is helping me cope with my issues too! THANK YOU! Oh yes! Friendship and gratitude so very real treasures of living! And Thank You for remembering that saying!

"Your revenge...is to live."

And Wednesday! Your version too!

"Living well is the best revenge."

I shall remember those!

revenge: to inflict harm in return for an injury, ect. The act or result of revenging. Desire to take vengeance..

I hope we would not take revenge. ...
or teach our children revenge... .

perhaps you should use a different word?

Lia My Eternal friend

I like this one, it keeps me gratefukl for the good things I have and humble and compassionate towards others who suffer.

There but for the grace of God go I.

John Bradford, Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins

These too:
Gratitude is born in hearts that take time to count up past mercies.

Charles E. Jefferson (1860 - 1937)

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.

Cicero (106 BC - 43 BC), 'Pro Plancio,' 54 B.C.

Gratitude is the most exquisite form of courtesy.

Jacques Maritain (1882 - 1973), Reflections on America, 1958

A twisted but interesting depiction of the sentiment: There But For The Grace Of God Go I.
The sculpture by that name:

Yes Lotus the word revenge is often taken as aggressive and negative. This instance is of the kind that is not but is more of a statement of...
I SURVIVED! DESPITE WHAT YOU WISHED, DESPITE THE ODDS! I SURVIVE(and have done well!). So any revenge is a perception by the one(s) who wished ill upon us and misfortune. So We do not seek or have revenge...only the person who was against us will percieve it as such.
If we were trying to tear the one who wished us to fail down or hurt them to build ourselves up...that would be revenge in its base form and meaning. But those quotes mentioned above were not the retalitory nor gloatful type as these below are that wishes to degrade and hurt our enemies.

Revenge
Quotes:

Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. - Confucius

Some people would rather get even instead of get ahead. - Les Brown

Something of vengeance I had tasted for the first time; as aromatic wine it seemed, on swallowing, warm and racy: its after-flavor, metallic and corroding, gave me a sensation as if I had been poisoned. - Charlotte Bronte

Revenge is a kind of wild justice, which the more a man's nature runs to, the more ought law to weed it out. - Francis Bacon

A man who contemplates revenge keeps his wounds green. - Francis Bacon

You cannot go ahead while you are getting even. - Dick Armey

**********************************************
The word has many shades of meaninhg...not all retalitory.
