Pix,

I am so happy for you. I have one son & one daughter. Now I have a grand daughter. I got to see her be born. That was a special treat, cuz I didn't get to see my own be born. My glasses fogged up! I assume you have 2 girls? Both are a treat to raise - each in their own way.

lot's of love to you & your whole family.

That's wonderful! I know it's what you and hubby were hoping for..
I've never been any good guessing whether babies are going to be a boy or girl..Pretty much if I guess one thing it always turns out to be the other..lol
You daughter will get to keep her special only daughter status....as an only daughter who grew up surrounded by boys, it's a special thing, I must say..

aw, thank ya thank ya thank ya thank ya thank ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I told my daughter the news, she was... a little bummed... it went something like this.
"Well...... this is great honey, I am so excited for you! You get to keep your 'daddy's girl' status, you get to be surrounded by boys to look out for you and stay our only little girl.... I love that! I think it will be perfect for you!"

I grabbed my son and said "Yay Team Blue!"
my daughter said sarcastically "...Team Poo!"

Oh Yes, she's six today.

She did want a sister.. but here's the thing... The Universe/God/dess knows what the plan is.
She is um..... challenging. She needs the reassurance of being the only girl, no trace of competition there, it just works out better.. and it's not like if it was a girl, they'd be part of the same peer group.. my big girl would be a 'mommy nurturer' to the baby ... not a traditional sister.
I think she'll be closer to this boy. She and her brother are close, even though they are six years apart, and it will be the same here, I hope....
For her, it had to be a boy, and one day soon, she'll see that. I think it's already sinking in in a happier way.
I am excited.

Hiya, Zala!!!!
I specifically ask him what he thinks, only because he's almost twelve, so not as keen on the whole baby thing as CW is.
( and she thanks you for the Birthday wishes!)
S's just simply got better things to do.. you know?
While our princess plays with baby dolls and mothers everything, so of course, she talks more about the impending baby.

I am excited for him that he'll have someone else to mentor, and I'll bet they'll get along great. He feels good about the whole thing, and is looking forward to having a new brother.. ( and outnumbering the girls in our house...) but it isn't much in his scope of interest.
I know it wouldn't be in mine if I was into friends and guild wars and finding out why I'm supposed to like girls and where it all fits in my life, he's trying to find his own identity in a different way. I understand it.

I know it's a detailed answer, but hey, you know me....

Thanks for asking hon!

Sun in Pisces
Pisces - I care

Imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, and serene. The Sun in Pisces needs to express their fantasies, imagination, and creativity. According to traditional astrology, here are a few of the basic characteristics Pisces should seek to consciously develop in their life: sense of compassion, sensitivity, the ability for self-sacrifice, and sense of intuition.

But now that I've said all this.... the real truth is that there is NO typical description of a Sun in Pisces. Sometimes I wish pin Pisces down, but it's downright impossible. Pisces is like the Greek sea god Proteus, who was notorious for being a shape shifter. And whenever someone attempts to catch Pisces in their net, they simply change shapes and then swim away.

The shape shifting ability of Pisces is even more noticible and telling in male children. For better or for worse, Western society generally doesn't provide very many positive strokes or rewards young males growing up in regard to having strengths in imagination, sensitivity, and intuition. Later in life - you'll often find many Pisces males in roles of power and authority, (almost) successfully hiding all that sensitivity from the rest of the world. They can often successfully shape shift behind the pomp and circumstance of a fiery sign like Leo or Aries or a solid dependable earth sign like Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo. http://astrology.about.com/od/yourzodiacsign/l/blchildpisces.htm

Sharing The Same Element

(Scorp Mommy and Pisces Child)
You and your child share the same basic core Element. This beneficial placement means the two of you share in many of the same styles of thinking, communicating, relating, and feeling. Sharing the same Element will help out a lot in the two of you truly having a mutual empathy and mutual understanding of the other person's needs. Of course, having this same element doesn't guarantee smooth sailing all the time - because it also means the two of you understand each other well enough to effectively "push each other's buttons." Resist the temptation whenever possible. http://astrology.about.com/od/yourzodiacsign/l/blelementsa.htm

Sharing A Semi-sextile Aspect

(Aries Dad and Pisces Child)
You and your child share what's sometimes called a Semi-sextile Aspect. This beneficial aspect means the two you will usually enjoy each other and and have empathy for how the person thinks and acts - even though the two of you will seldom "have a clue" about why the other persons thinks the way they do or why they do the things they do. Relax and enjoy it. Not everything in this world is logical. http://astrology.about.com/od/yourzodiacsign/l/blelementse.htm
