About two or so months ago, a miracle happened in my country, if any of you know about Uganda(Eastern Africa) you will know that there has been a war going on for 20years now, where stable homes have been destroyed and strong cultural systems dating back to ages ago have been distorted,Any way the rebels have been aducting villagers and forcing them to join their group, so whenever there is a raid on a village, people scatter in all directions. In one vilage, every body was killed, in hundreds and a little child was left, she was 2 years at that time, she wondered off into the bushes, and stayed there for 4 years. Every body had forgotten about her i guess, and maybe there was even no one around to identify her and resently she ws discovered, strong and healthy and 6 years old!!!!!! She can not speak words that anyone can understand, but she makes sounds. Now that's what i call a miracle!!!!!! A true manifestation that God truely lives, imagine that she survived malaria, snake bites, lions(if any) wooooooo!!!! i was floored! She is currently in a rehabilitation center for children affected by the war. thought i should share this story with LL.... IP: Logged |

yes petron, what's on that site is correct and much much more! in my current job, we have projects in these camps as we provide food security and psychosocial support to formerly abducted child mothers...... but evertime i visit these camps, i leave feeing so empty, i know of people who fail to eat for days after seeing this plight!!! its a commons sight to find people without ears, lips or noses! the suffering is alot, but the miracles are even greater cause you ask yourself how these people are able to go on a daily basis living without food, water, clothes, torn away from children, familes, no sanitary towels.....??!!1 but this little gal who was found after 4 years was the greatest of all miracles in the northern uganda! Omigosh, that article. *cries* There must be something done.Thank you, Abo, for talking about this and bringing it up. I feel so isolated sometimes, being fed my media morsels, unaware of such atrocity. I don't want the details, they hurt me to much, but what hurts more is knowing it even exists. I pray for good things to come of this.. IP: Logged |
