neptune, just curious dear..how do you support your expensive taste at 16? are these fantasies/ i remember having them at 16. i would collect vogue & elle mags and dream up my wardrobe, LOL/ For my Christmas present (I buy my own) I just picked up this beautiful vanilla calfskin with brown stitching MIU MIU bag. I do feel it ostentatious going on about these things however. So I will stop now. I'm very proud of my bag though and I will cherish and wear it proudly! IP: Logged |

I wouldn't call it "fantasies", because thats far from it, you can admire something, without it being a fantasy, especially in my case when you have realistic and materially sufficient plans to increase your wealth, as well as the stars and the chart. (and miu miu is nice, but my philosophy is I would never buy anything that I didn't have the lifestyle to afford it, and I believe that should be a rule to everything, my biggest pet peeve is poor prioritizing) ------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

i guess curiousity killed the cat my dear, And I hope you know, which every intellectual would know, that there's a huge difference from dreaming up your wardrobe from someone you want to be verses (what i'm engaged in) which is spending years doing magazine and catalog reading to create a personal flavour and distinct style that reflects who you are, its like a private art and I absolutely adore it and I spend much of my time doing it too because I know i'm not wasting my time. I read Vogue, Saks, & Casswell-Massey(America's Original Perfumers from 1752, i got their damask rose lotion last christmas, they have great products, check 'em out www.caswellmassey.com/ ) The rest of the fashion magazines like Elle, InStyle, Glamour, Harpers Bazaar, etc. just highlight celebs too much for my taste. ------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

Hi neptune, ehmm... I think lovely's question was, at the age of 16, where do you get the financial backing to support your interest... ? When I was 16, I was bottling pills for $6.25/hr... IP: Logged |

And teaologist ehhmmm, if you didn't hear what I said, quote: my philosophy is I would never buy anything that I didn't have the lifestyle to afford it, and I believe that should be a rule to everything, my biggest pet peeve is poor prioritizing)
Its not that I don't have the financial backing to support my interests, which is true knowingly, but its the fact that I don't have the lifestyle to afford. And I already addressed the nature of her question sufficiently: quote: I wouldn't call it "fantasies", because thats far from it, you can admire something, without it being a fantasy, especially in my case when you have realistic and materially sufficient plans to increase your wealth, as well as the stars and the chart.
The point is teaologist, i gave lovely her answer, but you decided to tweak it. Whatever the case, people do what they want, but its really not polite to get someone to repeat what they've already said, especially if its in verbal form.

Oh man, battle of semantics. It's ok, MK. Thanks for the big-up. I don't want to know anymore though. All I know is that when I walk into Barney's, one of the cheapest items there is a $150 cable knit sweater... for a dog... IP: Logged |

I love those red shiny shoes....But I couldnt walk in em now... Funny story.. I met a woman in the supermarket...she always looks immaculate, like a film star...and she tells me in a very down to earth way that all her clothes come from charity shops and she never ever pays over 5 euros for anything!! Like my ma used to say, "some people would look good wearing a paper bag" At this stage I am more worried about what I look like wearing NOTHING (not tooo bad if you keep one eye closed) xx IP: Logged |

Maybe its just a misunderstanding, but I know that I answered the question with added information and details, thats probably what may have been "evading" it. Otherwise I didn't evade anything, maybe your just not a good reader, because I speak, ask, & answer suffeciently, being a 3rdHLibra with Pluto.------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

Yes, Sue...in the states (not sure if its true in the U.K.) people like to dress up domesticated animals (ie. Paris Hilton).

I'd also like to say...to everyone on board, whilst we continue chatting about fashion, money does not give you style, why do you think the majority of "famed" people have stylists, well only part of the reason, and you must be careful, because in some instances money deteriorates your fashion sense.Just some food for thought. ------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

Funny you say that neptune, considering your own stated preferences in attire...Quote: It doesn't matter how expensive they are, of ir their sold at saks fifth avenue. Just tell us what you like and lets talk about fashion. I love premier designer accessories, and i'm into and fond of high end women's fashion, like Thakoon & Doo.ri & Devi Kroell, my absolute favourite designer(S) of all time will always be Costello Tagliapietra...gorgeous. I sort of have this thing for italian fashion, prada, blahnik, jimmy choo, and I am a fan of french fashion house CHANEL. My favourite fashion pieces are jewelry, shoes, & perfume. Of course I can't afford any of that yet, but it is a sure part of my fashion/style identity. MK

Yeah, and they're wardrobes probably cost 2 times as much as mine does...its ridiculous but atleast they're taking care of these pets...its better than neglect. I just realized that I know zip about many of the labels named in this thread today.lol It really shows what T-Neptune in the second trining your MC will do to ya....just don't care anymore. I buy whatever I like, don't even care if its a knock-off....as long as it looks good. I go to the flea-market for "designer" stuff anyways.

I repeated the original question: How do you support your expensive taste at 16?It’s a question about finances. It isn’t a question about moral integrity. It’s a simple question that people of all ages can answer simply. [to boss] How do you support your expensive taste at 42? [boss] I manage multiple projects here at the office and run a small, successful beekeeping operation on the side. [to close friend] How do you support your expensive taste at 25? [close friend] I buy on-sale in bulk at the flagship urbn and sell for triple the price on eBay. [to college acquaintance] How do you support your expensive taste at 18? [college acquaintance] My dad’s a cardiologist. It’s a simple question. But since I understand that money can be an issue of taboo, I do not feel that the question deserves to be answered here. It’s fine. I do not want to know. My argument here is in response to this: quote: maybe your just not a good reader, because I speak, ask, & answer suffeciently, being a 3rdHLibra with Pluto.
I personally don’t think we should be using our chart aspects as Poke-balls, so I’m not sure if I want to counter that. Well, maybe I will say that my Taurus stellium makes me disgustingly patient, and my Venus in Gem makes me scratch my head and laugh reeeeeally hard at situations like these.Sue: Gas, indeed! MK: Valid point. Dulce: (about flea markets)

MK, what in the world would I do without you? Your too much of a help, always there to snatch me up when I slip. It's great to have you.teaologist, i hate it that i didn't comprehend that, i know that makes me sound really stupid, but sometimes i'm just extremely slow. (i know that sounds funny, i'm laughing myself) Personally i don't have an income, mostly because of my dads advice of me being in school, (all that will change once I get to college) he doesn't want me to jeopardize my GPA, but i am getting a waitressing job over the summer. I live to serve, (one of my mottos). College classes aren't every day, every hour, so i'll have more freedom to waitress. Waitressing in my adolescence has been something i've always wanted to do. ------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

Hi neptune, you aren't stupid, and I am very sorry if I sounded harsh. Yer dad has the right idea about education coming first. If you really want to waitress, please do not let your work schedule impede on obtaining your nursing degree. Both jobs require dealing with a lot of cranky ppl on a regular basis , hehe, so maybe you should go easy on yourself for the meanwhile.I'm taking wild stabs to answer two of your questions: 1) If you are studying to become a nurse, trust me, I'm sure you will be able to afford a very comfortable lifestyle in the future. As a nurse though, you will probably need to find the time to enjoy the pleasures. 2) If I had to stretch to see Chanel in your chart, maybe it would be the Venus in 4th. History is a 4th house issue, so maybe yer aesthetic sense is anchored in classic, old-school styles. When I think Chanel, I think tweed, a classic vintage-type fabric, throwback to 1800s. Meloves tweed. (Hehe, dude, I tried.) IP: Logged |

cool tea, can i call you tea' for now on, yea thanks, and i'm not just going to go into nursing, but because i want to contribute to humanity, i'm doing psychology too (both are sciences that mesh well together), and i'll write a book on the psychological development of human evolution, so i'll have monetary from that too. But yea, venus in 4th, um, i do tend to like old world styles, i'm very much into African fashion too, see fashion just isn't supposed to be frivolous, theres meaning and value in the way all cultures dress, thats whats so fabulous about fashion. And no tea, you didn't sound harsh, i just didn't understand lol i'm sure we can both laugh.------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

ok.. i was gone for a week. teologist, thank you for understanding my question.. for fff-saks sake neptune, you're starting to pee-pee me off now so i will address you here & be done with it because you've already answered my question. you can't phunking [like the pun? smartass-know-it all?] afford any of the crap you display here~ YOU FANTASIZE~ which is not right wrong bad or good. quote: And lovely, no, your assumptions wrong. I wouldn't call it "fantasies", because thats far from it, you can admire something, without it being a fantasy, especially in my case when you have realistic and materially sufficient plans to increase your wealth, as well as the stars and the chart.
i never made the assumption you were fantasizing, i asked a question and related with you. i was 16 and i did fantasize. did i project a little? YES. nothing wrong with having "materialistic plans". i had them too. you've again answered my question. you ARE NOT PURCHASING THESE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE ITEMS, but merely DREAMING and FANTASIZING about them. Just phucking own it, ok? unless you are a child actor, a model, a prodigical genius, airess to a fortune, you simply cannot afford the things you've mentioned here. so.. which are you? quote: (and miu miu is nice, but my philosophy is I would never buy anything that I didn't have the lifestyle to afford it, and I believe that should be a rule to everything, my biggest pet peeve is poor prioritizing)
precisely my question and point! no one expects you to have all this stuff. you're young. do you even have a job? it is important to preface these types of posts you start, with the truth. you are deluding *some* people, in a small way, leading them to believe you are a phucking millionaire. which by the way is never the best way to win approval or affection. the more you boast about your gifts, they are no longer gifts. know what i mean? You wanna know the truth. 16 year old girls are a pain in the coochie and you are no exception neptune. But guess what, when you are 30 or 40, you will be much wiser because here you are on the Internet, conversing with all these GENEROUSLY gifted souls, willing to step in and give you some TRUTH. I mean, this post i wrote took 15 minutes/ ...I'm not yelling by the way when i use CAPS. I'm emphasising ONLY. love to all..and neptune, don't you dare come back with some nonsense little rant on the subject. i will spank you and send you to your room for a time-out and take away computer priveledges!!!! Respect your elders! You will GET-IT, whatever IT is, eventually. Keep on dreaming... IP: Logged |

and i understand everything completely, but i guess my 2nd cusp Libra with Venus conjunct Sun conjunct IC in sagittarius, Venus Trine jupiter, & mars conj. p.fort conj MC just got the best of me, its also nice to note that in my solar return chart for 2016 (i'll be at 26 years) i have venus conj. Pluto conj p.fort in my 2nd house, i'm sure we all know what that means, and i know i am a pain in the ***, and i do tell my mother that i am a difficult person, and she replies i make myself difficult, which i may at times, and the reason why i was reluctant to say i was dreaming of this, is because i'm not just dreaming, but according to my charts its type of anticipation, not just a simple generalization of dreaming, like anyone else would do. But you've been fair enough lovely, we all have, haven't we? ------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged | |
