Peeps to the guys! I thought they did a lot better...

I liked the (geek in pink) guy, too! That was a tough song to sing! Maybe a Gemini?

Blake the beat box boy was also good...

Glad they all stepped it up!

That's what I'm thinking, too, Stargazer, or at least some Gemini influence. Virgos are pretty big on wordiness as well, so he could also be influenced by that sign.

I don't think beat box guy will go all the way. It's neat that he can beat box, but it is primarily a singing show, and he doesn't have the greatest control.

AG

I get more Gem vibes than Virgo...something mecurial about him for sure..

I think you are right about Blake...
I just like the way "Blake the beat box boy" sounds as I'm saying it...
Its hard to say...
Looking forward to the ladies...
I heard some kind of rumor was going around about Antonella (sp?)... something they found out about her past???

I think Chris (theorized Gemini) Richardson brought it pretty good again.

I was really surprised that beat box boy got the thumbsup this week.

I thought Brandon was solid. I think he should go far in the competition.

Phil was scary this week. Really weak beginning, and then some real pitch problems.

I think the guy that did the girl song actually did show off some range, but it didn't work all the way because it was just weird in parts. Was that Phil? I noticed someone told him to wear a hat. The hat was also weird, but not in a good way.

Is Brandon the curly haired guy who sang the upbeat tune? I liked it.

I turned it on too late and missed Beat Box Boy.

Sundance sounded ok, but he mumbled as much as Pearl Jam guy but didn't have enough deep moody angst to pull it off. Simon probably only heard that song once before tonight, during that traumatic weekend that both his Brittany Spears and his Christina Aguilara c.d.s were on the fritz. I probably didn't spell those right, but there's no way I'm Googling those names. I'm scared at what I might be exposed to...

If that was Sanjaha trying his hardest, he isn't going to make it this time.

I agreed with the judges about Chris Sly. Good, but not as good as last week.

Phil was wearing a hat. He's the one with the somewhat unusual bald head. Simon commented on his eyes. I think it was his worst night so far.

Brandon is the former back-up singer. Tonight he talked about being a classically trained pianist.

I wasn't happy with Sundance either, and I kind of agree with Simon that it was a bit of a copout. Bad song choice.

I think Sanjaha was better than last week, but this is a tough thing for him to be involved in at this point in his life.

Chris Sly is generally good, but yeah, I agree with the assessment.

Phil was scary.. that just didn't work for me..I don't think he knows what he's about yet...?
Sundance..I didn't care for that song on him... I do love Pearl Jam, though.

I thought that both Chris' did well..
I missed Blake.. and Brandon did much better... I liked that song for him...

The ladies tonight!
Oh on a side note...I saw the Antonella pics... they were a bit more than "risque"
It seems that if the one girl (Frenchie?) got kicked off a couple seasons ago for porn pics and the like that this should have the same outcome... hmmm

Hmmm... I guess I didn't see the more-than-risque pics. She was mostly covered (but wet) in the pics I saw.

The girls rock

Haley was the only one I thought shouldn't "be here"...
and Antonella....

AG... After you posted the risque picture comment. I searched and got on Yahoo answers... a website out of Chicago for a newspaper type publication.. It was dursch something... Anyway, I went back today and it wasn't there...
The pictures I saw were her engaged in an oral activity...
She claims that it was not her but a friend that looks like her...yeah right!
It was her and as she was looking at the camera...knowingly being filmed....

*sigh* I'm embarrassed to admit I took time out of my life to investigate this whole antonella thing.. I found this comparison photo (don't worry, nothing explicit is shown) that seems to clearly show that, based on earlobes (crazy! that we are now examining American Idol contestant's ears!) the pictures of the oral stuff is not Antonella. http://www.idontlikeyouinthatway.com/pictures/20070226/antonella%20barba%20csi/aicsi.jpg

Looks pretty conclusive to me. Definetly not the same ears.

All that being said, I hope she gets voted off this week.. She really isn't in the same league as some of the other girls.

Harpyr..

*sigh* the earlobes have it.. lol
jeez... thats pretty scary.. I mean, how much they look alike...

I agree, she should be one to go... not as talented and she seems to have an attitude problem.. rolls her eyes... she isn't very likeable imo....

Thanks for your research... for me its a classic missing the forest for the trees

Way to go Sundance, finally kicking serious A when you are already kicked out of the competition. His final performance was amazing.

I figured those two girls would go, but Sanjaha is just the Kevin vote from the other season. A bunch of tweenie boppers calling on their Disney cell phones to keep him in, regardless of performance or overall talent.

I had to watch Survivor so I just watch the last few minutes of Idol on Thursday. I would tape it, but I can't resist switching for the last few minutes and then I don't have time to watch the tape anyway. And no tivo or whatever so the sound is yuck.

Yes, I talked to my sister on the phone during all of last night's show. I used to watch every minute. Hmmm...

Oh, they said they were going to use the show to help charities for children in Africa and U.S. Very nice.

I thought it was Sanjaya's best performance ever. But that isn't saying much, so I will even say that if that if he can take that to the next level up next week, I will become a wary fan.

I didn't hear of the Howard Stern thing, but I don't think that will have too much effect. People who hate Idol enough to actually do that would have to expend too much time watching it to figure out the worst singer and they won't put in the effort. And those who do will be sucked in Mwahahahahaaaaa.

Was Sanjaya in the first hour or second? I'm watching the second hour right now, but I missed some of the first hour.

I did catch Gemini Chris. I thought he was good as usual.

Phil wasn't great for me. He's not Clay Aiken enough to overcome his awkward appearance, and really have a chance in my opinion.

Jordin was good.

EDIT: OH! Sanjaya's next.

I thought everyone was ok, I missed the first chick doing the sexy thing for Simon, I was just listening then so I didn't have any idea about what the fuss was about.
What's the verdict on Sanjaya?
Rocker Redhair made a good attempt, I thought.
Phil, I dunno, thought his voice was nice at the time, but his performance was "forgetable" hehe
Chris and Beatbox were good, yeah.

I missed Sanjaya, but I did get to see his hair. That was wild.

Haley was kinda bad.

I might watch the hockey game. Sharks are up 1-0.

Phil's in a hat. Very good move. Good performance, too. This is probably my favorite performance of his. (Made me stop watching hockey)

Melinda's always good.

Chris Richardson was a little flat for me, but I still really think he's talented.

EDIT:
Wednesday, March 28th

I'm shocked that Chris Sly got voted out.

melinda is very good, but is it fair to allow a professional back up singer compete in idol.

almost everyone expects her to win.

i like the beat box guy. i hope he makes it.

eventually sanjaya will be out, but it may not be until the final 4 or so.

damned howard stern trying to drum up ratings for his talk show. that smart lil thing, what better way to get attention. i would tune in if i could. i used to listen to howard every morning on the way to work. he moved to syrius and i haven't heard anything of him since.

howard has a late dec birthday right?
