and yours too...

At least once a day something useless (or maybe not) pops into my head about life or an experience and I want to share it. It doesn't fit any topic and it's not enough to stand on it's own as a single topic. So, welcome to my random and useless (or sometimes not) thoughts of the day. Feel free to share your own so I don't bore everyone to death.

~Mercury retrograde is out to get me

~I like to smoke flavored cigars when I go out, even though I don't smoke cigarettes

~Some 20/20 show had something on tonight about how the media creates fear in people that caught my attention even though I usually don't watch 20/20 shows because they create fear

~I always think Spring is coming at this time of year even though it never does

Sometimes you work very hard, for a long time, and, at the last minute, your plans fall through. Sometimes, when you aren't expecting it, miracles happen.

When I learned to love one person,
I wanted to love everybody.

A kind word can touch someone's heart
and make it glow again, like E.T.'s fingertip.

Barks rot, and crumble between my fingers.
The cold solidifies the air somewhat.
It fills and pricks my lungs.
The sun is an iron glove upon my cheek.

I think everyone I know has somehow networked their brains because I swear they've all been saying the same exact things to me...

My brother's leaving for the army on the 7th
and I think I'm more scared than he is...he's going to miss our two months of twindom this year

I've suffered with depression since I was 14 years old and in that time I've begun to wonder if I have because I feel like my life and my emotions aren't as melodramatic as a Bronte novel and somehow that's just wrong

why are pickles so good?

Despite earlier remark, I am happy right now and it's a beautiful thing...It's only when I love with no conditions that I find peace

Ahh, company... how nice

BlueMoon, I just read "Seedfolks" by Paul Fleishman for a children's literature class. It's about a little girl who plants a few seeds in an empty lot which begins a chain reaction that gets the whole community involved with the clean-up of the lot and the growth of a little eclectic "Paradise". Each tiny chapter is told by a different person's point of view, but they all connect. It was beautiful, I cried throughout most of it. It's only sixty-some pages and very simply written. I would recommend it to anyone!!

~I went to the grocery store last night in the middle of Blizzard panic on a Friday evening around 5:30pm. The rows were packed but people tend to make way for a large plastic cart shaped like a firetruck. Little Libra rising Rosie has a way of bringing smiles to others with her polite pleases and thank-yous and during a traffic jam near the eggs and milk we shared some smiles over the situation and as we left I said "Stock up Everybody! It's the blizzard of the century!!!" and about seven people laughed and we all suddenly remembered our manners and started to say Excuse Me and Oh, I'm Sorry, and No, No, That's Ok...

~I have a gold purse that has been bugging me all day to go out tonight and it is raining ice

The first link is 1/2 way loaded Steve Can't wait to see whatcha got. Thanks for sharing... I have great taste in music thanks to all of my super cool people I know who introduce me to all the best stuff

Leo on Fire, I like Claussen Pickles. And I'm very picky, the quarters are the best, no half or whole. But overall, all pickles are good.

Find a broken Scorpio Rising for the Bronte novel... you'll find the charm of it is short-lived. Mine had a Leo moon too, so there was definitely some black drama mixed with tortured passion going on there. Leos are good and Scorpios are good, but I won't do the Scorp AC with Leo moon ever again... although looking back he is always the one who meant the most... hehe I'm tellin' ya - Bronte novel!!!

I was vegging and watching Forrest Gump for the thirteen-thousandth time It will be interesting when Rosie is old enough for sleep-over things. We had a little "sleep-over" atmosphere tonight, I made air popped popcorn with real butter and made a separate bowl into marshmallow covered popcorn. Also made some nice flavored decaf.(Didn't share that with Rosie!) Caramel coffee. I like to use Crispex for Christmas candy, covered in chocolate and powdered sugar. I'm getting fat just typing this...

~Gary Sinise is one of my favorite actors.

~How do they disappear his legs in this movie?? For the last 15 thou of the 30 thou times I've watched it, I watch REALLY CLOSELY to try to catch any mistakes in splicing/editing etc. and I can never find a single flaw. Does Gary Sinise actually HAVE amputated legs? Just kidding

I have a new found addiction to peanut butter sandwiches...I blame mother hood

I like the claussen pickles too but vlasic are my favorite mostly because I think anything advertised with a talking stork is excellent!!!

I tend to avoid Scorp's like the plague kinda 'cause they make me feel like - that big =/ Why??? Mostly because they are the only ones who look at me as if to say "You only think you're the s//t. I know I am." Pleasant...and now I feel the need to say NO OFFENSE..HONESTLY!!

*twirls in chair* Ya know Melody...this was a good idea

~mmm citrus peel

~ya know when you peel apart the orange/tangarine slices and there are little baby slices tucked between two regular-sized slices? Yeah, I really like those.

~pal dropped off birds tonight cuz their power (most importantly HEAT) is out and they went to a motel so I have 2 parakeet friends for a couple days... they argue like a dysfunctional married couple. They are named Lily and Herman (yes, as in Munster) Lily is mostly white and Herman has yellow on his head

I like your PJ girl, HSC, she has the One Love, -writing to God same as writing to a lover- thing going on. I do that too.

Leo on Fire! We have this super sweet n sassy sychronistic posting thing goin' on!

Funny Funny Funny! hehe Yay new baby and storks! Hehe, those Scorps try that with me too, but I give em the Cappy stare right back. Then they just spend most of their time lurking and plotting to kill me, which doesn't seem to bother Libra at all since she usually doesn't notice until they actually come at her with a knife or something along those lines... I'm actually INVINCIBLE, so it is a waste of time. Then we end up like Xavier and Magneto or Luke and Darth or YOU KNOW what I mean hehe

fostering impotent despair
I wish I could slip away in the night
and nobody would wonder

eyes glaze with nothing to see
blind onanism

muscles and tongues atrophy
with nowhere to go and nothing to say
miscarried rage of restless,
undead generations
born to slough the earth

so much i think i dont dare say
the damnedest thoughts won't bear
the prudish light of day

BlueMoon, I am going to stand like that from now on! hehe

Ok Steve, I have some vid links for you now... well, as soon as I find them... hehe
Ok, here's my most recent favorite song, replacing Black Parade and Teenagers by My Chemical Romance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v8HWO06PlM

"45"

Send away for a priceless gift
One not subtle, one not on the list
Send away for a perfect world
One not simply, so absurd
In these times of doing what you're told
Keep these feelings, no one knows
What ever happened to the young man's heart
Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45,
I'm swimming through the ashes of another life
There's no real reason to accept the way things have changed
Staring down the barrel of a 45

Send a message to the unborn child
Keep your eyes open for a while
In a box high up on the shelf, left for you, no one else
There's a piece of a puzzle known as life
Wrapped in guilt, sealed up tight

What ever happened to the young man's heart
Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart

[CHORUS]

Everyone's pointing their fingers
Always condemning me
And nobody knows what I believe
I believe

[CHORUS]

The first time I heard this I was in love The fullness of this song is gorgeous. I knew a guy a couple years ago who liked Burning Bright by Shinedown, and he told me the lyrics to that one. I found it to be interesting and wise, in a slightly dark way. He was a recovering alcoholic in AA, so it was appropriate for his struggle. He liked Tool a lot too, which I'm not into.

~45 is my new favorite song. The music to 45 is beautiful. And the struggle is beautiful.

~I'm going out to the kitchen to stand on one leg... since the one under my other leg is asleep now anyway...

~I have lots of Statistics homework to do boo hoo and as usual some dishes too...

~ahh 45 just started playing on my Mel~Mix WMP ahh listen to that guitar... and that voice... ahh
