Update;

No friggin baby.

I don't understand why I have been having pre labour stuff only to not actually get into serious labour.

I can't believe I am actually PAST my due date.

My son was early, my daughter on time, this one's late.
But this is the one I wasn't sure about the dates, therefore, thought it would be earlier ( impossible to be later.. seriously!)
He is also going to be my biggest baby.

I am shocked.
I don't know what to do with myself. Worse than that, I don't trust my body.
I have had every pre labour sign, and early labour sign, short of my water breaking.. and just when I get excited or think it's something, the contactions will stop.

I walked around like crazy yesterday.. Yes, I had massive contractions during. ( By the way, IKEA is a great place to labour.. huge warehouse and you can stop and rest on soft things or bins that are the perfect leaning height)
They say walking helps with labour.. well sure it does! While you're walking that is.
As soon as you go on thinking things are working, they stop.

This boy won't come out and I am miserable.

Pixie, if it makes you feel any better, I am having the same feelings about a commercial website I'm trying to set up (don't ever go and set up a commercial website).
First Paypal give me grief, then the bank, then the website designer, then Paypal again.
It's all taking so LONG, and it seems as though it'll never happen.

AAAARGGGHHHH!!! (Working to other people's schedules!!!)

With any luck, your baby and my website will be *born* at the same time (fingers crossed).

Lots of love,

Xena

Aww honey. I hear you. That's what happened with my daughter. I wasn't sure on the dates, and I ended up being later than the due date. I ended up being in labor on and off the week before she was born.

I totally feel your frustration. Just hang in there. I know it's hard when you're so ready to be "done". He's coming.

I'll be thinking of you.
Love,
GG

If I'm ever in labor I'll have to make sure to go to Ikdea.

Sorry that you're in such discomfort, and I hope this little pisces, (already taking his time) decides to have compassion and make an appearance

Wishing you and Elliott all the best, sweetie!! It will be soon..... but I still have a feeling he wants a Cappy Moon like his mama That means labor starts Monday night, so he can finally make his grand entrance early Tuesday morning..... and maybe he wanted to be sure his big brother was home to greet him!!

I certainly don't want MK to miss it.

Alas, after a weekend ( way more than a weekend) filled with techniques meant to bring on labour, three days past my due date....
Labour I've got. I can time these tightenings, but they're not picking up.. although I must say, after getting home from walking all day.... they sort of went away last night. I had sporadic ones.

I figure the sporadic ones might mean my body will stop teasing me.
No more pre game stuff.. I want the main event.
My hubby has to go back to work tomorrow.

I appreciate the show of support. I can't believe this baby hasn't come yet. I wasn't sure of my dates.. but that meant possibly BEFORE now, not after now.. so he is definitely late. Looks like he can't shake that Pisces rap.
I'm so much more than a little sick of being pregnant. I've never been this pregnant before. I am only here early because I couldn't toss and turn anymore in bed.. my hips were going to split in half from pain.

A week ago, my uterus measured 41 cm... ( the cm's are supposed to correspond {usually} to how many weeks preggers you are)
There are 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Yeah.
If he stays in beyond, I have an u/s on friday and then they will perhaps induce.
That is so scary.
I can throw any ideas of a homebirth out the window. I will need to be laying down in a hospital, strapped to a friggin machine to moniter me and the baby.... and then the more interventions you start with generally the more you need.
I don't even want to think about my idea of birth taken away from me due to tardiness.

I am despondent.
No need to send me labour vibes and stuff, because I think reverse psychology is the only thing that will work on him.
I will ignore the fact that I am this pregnant and uncomfortable.
I will NOT get excited, no matter how many contractions I have or how close together or 'spicy' they are. I will not get excited until I am giving birth on my kitchen floor because I doubt in my body so much I don't knw what it wants of me.
Early labour's a cinch. I'm worried about being exhausted for the main event.

As you can see, I didn't want to update.
Oddly, there is a sort of shame involved in the ones who go past their due dates.
Almost like I've lied.. even though I haven't. It's just a random formula generated number that gives you a scope of the time.. but it seems like a sentance.. an expiration date. I've never met it and then exceeded it before.
With every phonecall that asks with that tone of sympathy and expectation, "SO?"
* to which I want to respond with. Oh yeah, I had the baby, I didn't think it was important enough to call you though....*makes stupid sarcastic face* as if!
I know people mean well.. and their prescriptions for surefire labour starters.. "Well.. that's what worked for me!"
I'm sure it did.... but I've tried that and it's retarded cousin.
I'm just going to ignore it now. I have never known this kind of longing for pain. I'm on the masochists luncheon bus.

Anyway.
Love and thanks.

Let's hope avoidance works for this little one.. because attentiveness is just feeding my emotional state.

aw Pix, I think your baby feels so comfortable and safe there that he does not want to change his status quo...talk to him, tell him that his mama is tired and needs his help and love now as much as he needs hers ... take your time... and he will be there for you
