Spend time with your soul

"Be mindful of how you approach time. Watching the clock is not the same as watching the sun rise."

-- Sophia Bedford-Pierce

What would your soul consider a waste of time?

To a soul, the only real time is right NOW. Not the future or the past. It lives in connecting deeply with the rich experience of each moment. Through awareness we can be in touch with our authentic self and how it perceives all of the energies and guidance around and within us.

"Chronos is clocks, deadlines, watches, calendars, agendas, planners, schedules, beepers. Chronos is time at her worst. Chronos keeps track. ...Chronos is the world's time. Kairos is transcendence, infinity, reverence, joy, passion, love, the Sacred. Kairos is intimacy with the Real. Kairos is time at her best. ...Kairos is Spirit's time. We exist in chronos. We long for kairos. That's our duality. Chronos requires speed so that it won't be wasted. Kairos requires space so that it might be savored. We do in chronos. In kairos we're allowed to be ... It takes only a moment to cross over from chronos into kairos, but it does take a moment. All that kairos asks is our willingness to stop running long enough to hear the music of the spheres."

-- Sarah Ban Breathnach

"He who postpones the hour of living rightly is like the rustic who waits for the river to run out before he crosses."

-- Horace

Now this is a message I really needed to hear, Star

I get up in the morning and think about the things I need to do and accomplish that day and immediately feel pressured.

Once I get started it seems I am going all day long. You know we Taureans are like the Energizer Bunny when it comes to work. I wear my husband out. He just stops and tells me he can't keep going like I do.

I need to take those soul moments more often. Usually my brain is going a mile a minute with things I need to be doing.

Though I don't know. I do think a lot when I am working and normally I want to think about anything but the task at hand.

In Hawaii, there is no such thing as time. There is no rush, there is no hurry. Everything is calm. Everything is slow. Just take your time. Listen to the breeze. Taste the warm air. Gaze into the ocean. Watch the sunset. Reflect upon the goodness of everything........

When I went to Hawaii about 12 years ago, I stopped wearing a watch. Before then, I always HAD to have a watch on, always worried about time. Hawaii changed me. When I came back, I stopped wearing my watch, unless only absolutely necessary. Now I never wear a watch unless I have to for work, or school, etc. It is a very free feeling, not worrying about time!

It doesn't matter what time it is........it
s a great feeling not to be fixated on time!!!

Mirandee, OH I didn't know you were a Taurus too! Oh I am the same for work!! LOL!

LOL!

I love clocks though! Funny, that! We have a lot of clocks in the house and I have 2 cute little ones on my desk. One is a Waterford Crystal clock, another is a cute little gold cat hovering over a gold fishbowl, the face of the clock being a fish swimming around the fishbowl.

Would love to spend a couple of weeks in Hawaii, Nephthys. From your description it sounds like heaven. Oh, I'm so ready for that right now!!!

I wear a watch all the time but don't look at it much. Just want to know when it's dinner time.

LOL Bluemoon. You must have a lot of magnetism in your body. Watches used to do that with me but my body chemistry must have changed in the last 10-15 years because now I have no problem with watches.

lol, Mirandee about dinner time. I am always ready to eat. I don't need to know what time it is. My belly will tell me.

I don't really know what it is about watches. I also have a hard time keeping a portable phone. I have not had one last more than a year. They get very crackly and cut out right in the middle of a conversation.

Wasn't it Linda Goodman that wrote also in one of her books, I think it was STAR SIGNS, about not wearing a watch or having any clocks in her home also. She don't care much for time either.

WOW BLUE!!! You just have this energy thingy going on!!! I feel ya!!!!LOL!!!

I've always wanted to go to Hawaii too!!!

It so sounds like they have learned a much more connected way of living life, then how we've been programed to recieve it, or precieve!!!

I heard that they also take their fishing boats out for the afternoon, catch fish & on their way back, before they even make it back to the shore with their caught, they share all their fish with the fishing boats that don't do so good with their caught of the day!!!LOL!! WOW!!! So love that way of thinking!!!!

Thanks!!!!
