I must put out antigovernment vibes. I NEVER get called for jury duty. I'm told that a possibility for this is that in a few communities, the names are actually taken from like utility bills instead of registering to vote and all. That being the case, well everything is in my roomie's name. She's been called a few times, though she's always been canceled before she even shows up.

But today, something weirder...with my roomie & our best friend, we went shopping at an impromptu market area. Mainly to get some stuff to eat, but we had to examine all the art, jewelry, entertainment (had an amazing acrobat), and stuff. We also passed some military vehicles with big guns on them with all sides of each of them manned by military recruiters, mostly for the National Guard (who ironically do the most time in Iraq, and soon Iran). Some were quite aggressive in handing out pamphlets if not sales pitch. Yet strangely, there was ONE person they ignored: me.

My friends were even laughing about it as we got passed them, both of them having pamphlets and I having none. It was like I was invisible. Though one joked the recruiters were "more interested in getting the darkies to sign up" (since they're racial minorities and I'm a blue-eyed white), though in seriousness we all recalled the other "white people" being pitched at, too.

So weird. I recall it (it was less than a couple of hours ago), and they didn't look at me and dismiss me (and I can't think why they would dismiss me upon seeing me), they just didn't seem to look at me at all. It was like I was invisible to them. I saw them, but they didn't see me. IDK, I like the idea of my being completely invisible to anyone working "for the government," but it's just weirding me out a little.

Well, gotta get ready to go out elsewhere. Maybe I should drive....really, really fast through whatever check points that might be out. :-D
