I got an email regarding the LL photoshop on MSN that I rarely visit and decided to check it out real quick. Naturally, I couldn't remember the link and tried running a search for Lindaland photoshop. It came up with this link: Insolitology
"Welcome to the Main List of Odd Sites
Only the best sites are handpicked for your perusal. Comments are in blue for Franc and red for Alison. Be warned that some of these sites may be offensive or too stupid for words. I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about that." [about halfway down the page] "Welcome, Knowflakes, to Lindaland ! "Membership is free, and you are only a click away from Lindaland. Do your S-elf a favor, and join us now. All of your fellow Knowflakes are waiting to get to k-NOW you. It's warm and cozy inside, like mewling kittens, and you just might chance upon the unmistakable k-NOWing Spiritual presence of Linda her S-elf". angel_of_hope says: now we can go on the magical journey of gooberz together! Except I think i will start from the beginning, cause its been a bit since I picked up the book! need to recapture the feelings again! Recapture the gooberz, angel." Now, frankly, their opinions aren't actually important but I hadn't really considered LL showing up on other sites like this. Then I got to thinking ... hasn't something like this come up before? It seems familiar.
Their homepage says they were featured in PC Magazine. Isn't that a riot? Anyway, I'm actually quite busy and can't believe I wasted time on that site but there it is. Just thought someone else might be interested in this ... amusing and/or insulting, it's still strange to me. Who has time for that sort of thing and why? IP: Logged |

EleanoreThere are always going to be so-called 'rational minded' people who will laugh at others who want to delve deeper into the meaning of life than what merely meets the eye. I think intuition can easily be mistaken for delusion; if we remember this it could help us find the real truth. I do believe in intuition; I just think the journey to finding the truth is rather vast! Thats why a lot of people feel more comfortable belonging to a dogmatic science or religion that can seemingly provide them with all the answers. Try not to take offense at these people. All anyOne is doing on this journey is what we feel is best according to our limited consciousness at the Time

Who cares! What matters is if I like LindaLand and the people here! If someone does not take time to go through the discussions, be an active part of it and taste for themselves what we are all about as a community - these are not worth pondering!
I am not comfortable with everything that goes on (in LindaLand, in other communities, and even with life as well), but what matters is - am I a part of the great action? Yeah, I am and I am glad to be! Also, taking time to thank for the good friends I made here, because you are indeed a reason for me to be me! ------------------ Welcome to my Home Page! IP: Logged |

Actually, I have something to admit...When I first came across Lindaland a few years ago, I already knew about Linda and loved her books but was kind of.... scared? by the front page. Well, confused by all the strange spellings and subliminal message stuff. I didn't know anything about the other types of spiritual stuff Linda liked and so I thought this might be a site for quite obsessive fans. But I'm jolly glad I overcame that predjudice cos I love this site and most people on here are just interested in astrology and want to help other people. A good few of us are mad, I reckon but that's great! Sane people bore the pants off me. Anyway, yeah, those people off that site didn't bother to overlook how unusual the wording on the first page is to discover the site because they probably don't know much about Linda or astrology and don't want to learn. So nuts to them, they can do without the secrets of the universe! IP: Logged |

Why even show this to us?It was an insult when they wrote it. And now we all have to listen to it? Who cares what some blockhead blockheart thinks? Why would you bring this turd into the house?

I think that answered your questions before they were asked, HSC. In fact, part of the reason it interested me was because people are so liberal with their personal information here at times and maybe we don't all always think about who else is reading here. Not that we all should necessarily care but what's so wrong with being aware if you want to be aware?

You don't have to listen to anything. Let's don't get started on turds being dragged into this house, either. I posted this almost a year ago. Why not ask "why would this turd be brought back up to our attention after it had been flushed from our awareness already?" Not that I mind it being brought up again, of course. I really didn't take offense to this the first time around, either. When I don't care, I don't let whatever I don't care about get to me (in this case, other people's negative and uninformed opinions).

I have to admit when taken out of context it all does look a bit cheesy. In context it's a great website. I think when you look at things from a surface level they often look silly. Can't judge a book by its cover etc and so forth. When we take a close look at a lot of what really goes on on this board, it's anything but the sunshine and la la portrayed in their little bit. Confession: I have never read that opening page. If it serves as any use it's a handy reminder that this is a public forum. And as a wise friend of mine once said ~ "if you don't want anyone to read it, don't write it down". He was talking about his journal, but the principle applies even more. People are reading what we are putting down. Also, I tend to agree with Eleanore's point about personal information. But unless they are child welfare officers it is unlikely I am going to give much of a toss if someone thinks I'm odd or not. IP: Logged |

LOL, THAT IS FUNNY! I can see how we knowflakes may look a lil "off" in the eyes of others. Especially when they come in and read one little snippet of information and with that we are judged. I find it rather humorous really. Back in the day when I was rather close minded, if I woulda read what was quoted I too would think these people are a bunch of nut jobs, as well as angel_of_hope.did I just say that? Aww, just laugh about it guys/gals. Are we really that concerned with what others think of us? I know I'm not IP: Logged |
