I can shrink that monument to Space Bowling, if you like

But first: Dr Crowley and Lady Harris ~
Here's a handful of cards (yours and mine included, Missy Node )
I liked some of the colors in the old deck better for some cards, and I liked some cards better in the new deck.....
Both the decks I have were made in Belgium.

So here we go -- card backs:

And the Unicursal Hexagram:

re: shrink the Alley - Ahh no, that was my nod to people it might irritate. I'm a Venus + Sun -Taurus. Size, ah um, matters! Anything that is off size is good. Used to collect' miniature perfume bottles.
My deck @1996 US Games w/ the lavender box. No Uni-Hex, but it does have the 3 Magus. I find them pale, and wan. Love reading about Crowley. TOOL Band exposed me to him and his writing. Learning his deck was an invaluable tool
The in-your-face colors, imagery, and feel of the Rohrig are more my style. And you prob. noticed it's a Thoth Tribute deck. Rohrig is an honest deck to me. Nothing hidden. The Wands/Batons are crystals btw.
Don't get me wrong I love the deck [Thoth] it is brilliant, used it exclusively for almost 3 years.
p.s. color is emotional right fellow Pisces Mooner? Don't you get a different feel from the cards you just posted? Just from the color? Why did you buy the second deck?

This is the photo of Louis I have.[From the Lyrics thread] I wish this one was large! can't really feel the emotion.. posting it anyway
FYI- your Shagadelic artist is from Orange CA, just like moi.

    Cocktail Recipes
    SHAG With a Twist
Shag With a Twist Mixology By Cherry Capri!
Build over rocks in a highball glass
    2 oz. Vodka
    1 oz. Triple Sec
    Juice of half a Lime
    (approximately 2 teaspoons)
Fill with 5-6 oz Pineapple Juice to taste
(Dole is the preferred brand – AND not from concentrate)
    Healthy dash of bitters

    Stir to mix
Garnish with a wedge of lime and a maraschino cherry on the side

Yes - this Shag With a Twist Cocktail was taste tested and approved by Josh Agle *SHAG* himself!!!

Missy Node ~

Damn these stupid $%#^()*^ text boxes anyway!!! I just wrote a big old dissertation, clicked Submit, but forgot my password and it blanked everything out..... grrrrrrr ):-[

Anyway, Mme M..... hmmmm that puts me in mind of Disney's Sword in the Stone, one of the BEST cartoon sequences EVER -- the Wizard's Duel between Merlin and Mad Madam Mim!!!

I pointed you to that Neptune the Terrible thread to pull up that Kabbalistic graphic, and lo and behold -- you have it saved to your hard drive!!!
By now I should expect no less -- thy Pisces Moon radar/telepathy is functioning at Optimum ;-)

I’ve saved some Navajo designs to my hard drive to work with at some point – I love geometric patterns (see the one on this page: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000465-5.html )

And I've wanted to work with polymer clay for awhile now, and paint some designs similar to these:

That 2nd one kinda reminds me of scrimshaw ;-)

Yes -- color IS emotional..... and I like different colors at different times depending on my mood. Shades of gray or muted colors can be really pleasing on one day, and unthinkably humdrum on another day. There are some days I wear Red, and some days I wear Black. But the blues/greens/purples part of the spectrum is where I hang my hat

Why did I buy the 2nd Thoth deck?? Disorganization. Time (ie lack of). Impulsiveness. (WHAT?? Mars in the 1st Impulsive?? Never!! )
Backstory: I moved here to MN in 1997. Basically I took the opportunity the Universe presented to get me and CJ away from the ex, and threw everything willynilly into boxes and then into the U-Haul and drove 1800 miles like a bat outa hell without looking back. A few years ago I really had a yen to work with the tarot again, but hadn't found my old deck (there are boxes still unpacked in the basement) so I just bought a new one.....

"A different feel from the cards I just posted"?? Yeah -- I like the colors in the "old" deck (on the left in all the pics here) for the Heirophant, but the colors in the new deck seem more vibrant in most (but not all) the cards. The Mars in Gem card "Cruelty" seems quite a bit different -- I'll post it in a minute so you can see.....

I like the colors in the old deck much better in these two.....

Soooo, Lightning Ridge Black Opal, Watermelon Tourmaline,

and Ametrine,

-- lovely choices, but unless I enjoy extraordinary success at Lotto, these are gems out of all but my wildest dreams :-D That's one reason I work with *semi*precious stones, so my work is not totally out of the price range of normal workin’ people like meself..... I only have a couple small trinkets with my birthstone (opal) -- feels lovely to wear even though it's so fussy to keep.....
I have some raw opal from somewhere in the Southwest -- dunno where, the fella who dug it keeps his mine a secret. Still have it bottled in water so it don't dry out and crack -- but maybe someday I or someone I meet will have the skills to work with it.....

I found your necklace and I'm dead wrong,, it's Montana sapphire + Demitoid [green] Garnet... you missed my first post in all your scurrying ^_^ I meant the accent stones sorry Not the opal itself. the east/west stones.

Sapphire and garnet?!?!? Sure looks like opal with a bit of lapis etc.....

If I could set cabs properly, I'd be all over this site: http://www.thaigem.com/
I've bought a LOT of stuff from them in the past, but they've moved away from semi-precious into mostly the gemstone market.....

heehee, I do that (scurrying) -- what can you expect from Jupiter in Gem??
The small green ones look very much like peridot, but if they say 'garnet', well OK

Howzabout some of that inlay stuff??
I like this abalone

it's # 154 or 156 in the page for the necklace. Exclusive store! And I have serious aquisition lust
Important Black Opal Arts & Crafts necklace in 14K yellow gold with enamel, Montana sapphires, demantoid garnets and diamonds: three tiered necklace set with blue-green Lightning Ridge black opals, the central element containing a bezel-set triangular-shaped opal weighing approx. 20 cts, within an openwork ornament, set with three circular Montana sapphires, three round and four oval-cut dementoid garnets, and two circular diamonds, suspended by four lengths of mixed link chain from a top oval element, containing a 3 carat opal flanked by a pair of diamonds, a tear drop opal pendant weighing approx. 5 cts, completes the necklace, the chain is built of mixed link. The necklace is unmarked, possible attributions to Kohn, Marcus or Hedges. The high value of its component and fine quality of construction indicate that this necklace is a superior example of its genre. 47mm x 77mm
its @ 25,000$ you know how to pick um

Are you feeling sympathetic to that discussion??

I remember a fun 'Choke the Sagittarians' thread..... say, that reminds me!! The High Commissioner's Vice President of Equipment and Accessories has yet to provide one suitable Keystone Kops siren

Re: Lightning Ridge necklace (**modestly polishes fingernails on lapel**) Yeah, I know how to pick the most expensive item around -- can't escape the Venusian element
