Re: Ametrine paperweight. I see lots in that one! Look in the very center. Grim Reaper. On right- 3:00 position, a reflection of a person bending over. Some one is standing right behind them. 6:00 position a stone, ala Sword in the Stone. The Sword is on the floor, to the left of the person bending down.
Re: spiritual/medicinal properties of certain stones and metals. You believe this, why may I ask? Personal experience?
Re: Baltic Amber!!! That is practically black market goods now! it is so sought after. And what’s up with big toe on that baby anyway [love that baby]* EDIT the Ametrine has another face in the darkest part of the purple [center]
edit* also the purple flask has a figure in the right hand lobe light red hair grey smock.

Re: color pt. 2 Obviously since a wee tot I have spent perhaps an unhealthy amount of time watching movies. Note to self start another fav. Movies thread I especially love movies that in the first 60 seconds take me there The Jet Li movie I posted pics from? They re-released it to the American public last year. So I went. It was the Chinese version and in subtitles. [preferred format] Color has been used in some famous/cult/foreign films as an additional character. Never before has color been used so effectively and gorgeously as this movie. For me that includes The Red Shoes, The Red Balloon, Sin City and others. If you have not seen this film, please do. It is Shakespearian/Operatic in it’s lust/revenge/death human bondage theme. Entire chapters of the story are done in monochromatic colors. One scene is done in Primary red, one scene entirely in shades of green, blue, etc. If you do not care for martial arts films, take a look at this one. It is brilliant and quite spiritual in it’s message. It is in my small collection of owned movies
    this is nice malachite

Back to the green theme- for a moment- gonna post some Connemara Marble. Irish marble. The color range is huge, from pale sand color, to deep green. I wear a ankle bracelet made of round conn. Beads. I also have a shamrock necklace made of it. Celtic design fascinates me as well - resonates I guess. From the knots like the trinity to the designs they have in they’re weaving [sweaters, rugs, et all] so much history and beauty in it.

these two didn't want to post above, stinkers

* Adding color reference quote of the week, ala Judith Gale @ planetwaves:Saturn has now inhabited that breathtakingly mythical point known as the anarectic degree -- 29; a "critical" degree, and often an indication of crisis. Surely we see crisis everywhere we look, and Pluto is moving along slowly toward that degree as well. These are "changing of the guard" issues, when the big impersonal planets take on new coloration. The bad news/good news aspect of a planet hitting anarectic is that it is the final yelp of whatever was, giving way to what will be; Saturn will quickly move into Virgo and bring in new energy, new earth colors with which to paint. Pluto will follow eventually with its practical earthy tones in Capricorn.

If Virgo is the skilled, dutiful repairman coming to the door with his toolbox, then Capricorn is the investment banker on the block, trusted with our resources and flush with respect and social position. Saturn will bring responsibility to repair, and Pluto will bring transformation to governing institutions. We should note that both of these prospects are in the drabber spectrum of the color palette -- our days of drawing with bold bright colors seem to be coming to a close, best to stock up on brown and sepia and charcoal and black. A plunge into practicality will be quite a shock but we can welcome the pragmatic possibilities that these changes bring, even if it feels less "unplugged" than we've grown accustomed to. It's been a thrill ride, but unplugged has brought us dangerously close to undone. There's remediation at hand.
