People need to get out and do things. Its good for them. We have greektown here in the Detroit area ( mirandee prob knows this) and one restaurant has bellydancers. I went there one time. It was in no way sexual. I would not be bothered by it if my husb went there for a business lunch or dinner. I never felt the dancers were scoping men either I felt they were proud of their skill. hi sider sorry to hear about ur friend being upset... i like to elaborate on my comment..sure i would be jealous if my boyfriend goes to watch something like this ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoREkZvkyI8 or gets a dose of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anbxp_aKOzM which is pretty much what belly dance is about where i live.looking at this i would ask a man where is the art factor? or do men just so innocently go to see the ART of hot, smoky eyed female shaking her bikini boobs n @ss?.. i have worked at posh places where belly dancers were hired (private parties/vip parties) to tease, these dancers even sit on laps and preform the Art of boob shaking in a mans face while he is with is girlfriend/wife... check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XoGcGsC4mE lol great art huh? they never fail to turn men ON... many men i know want their girlfriends to learn belly dance because it is so sexy and seductive to them so why should any lady other than me preform it for my boyfriend? however since i read many comments in this thread i did a little research and saw the US,some European and more different forms and i agree they are not that erotic, more on the graceful side. but in 90% arab countries belly dancers do nothing more than tease with their seductive sexy moves, i guess they have turned a graceful dance into something else. so maybe when i am 40 i wouldnt mind where my boyfriend went but for now i dont see any good happening to my relationship if my boyfriend 'specialy' went to see a belly dancer...IP: Logged |

Well, you do got a point there Double Trouble Gemini. Its like I said, if a guy makes seeing bellydancers a regular habit, then its definitely not for the art aspect of it.I would most likely get suspicious...and raise hell too. Actually, even "once" would bother me personally, but I probably wouldn't say anything unless it became "twice".IP: Logged |

How is it any wierd then seeing a girl who has a thing for Vampires? or Cowboys? (BTW: Shakira is awesome Lol!) See sinderlou; Did he specifically ASKED his girl to take belly dancing classes or did she volunteer to do so? Now see... if he feels that the physical attraction just isn't there, he needs to come clean. Not feeling attracted to someone sexually isn't a person's fault. Not being honest about it with their partner though is. Tell your friend to ask him upfront if he doesn't feel physically attracted to her. The answer may or maynot be what she wants to hear but alleast it will clarify where they stand at their relationship. IP: Logged |

Xodian........Ok, she mentioned the idea of classes that were starting in the area and he really encouraged her to go. He bought the music, some jewelery too! She just started so she said that she can't even come close to what a pro can do but she tries. She didn't go into detail but the physical side of their relationship is good so she tells me. She just isn't sure whether or not to confront him and I am uncertain as to what advice to give. He will be back home from this trip next week and either it is going to be a happy greeting or all poo is gonna hit the fan! IP: Logged |

I think there is a difference between a dancer, and a women sitting in the lap of a man and having physical contact. Stripping used to be an art form also. With such strippers as Gypsy Rose LeeIP: Logged |
