all around me are familiar faces.
worn out places, worn out faces.

Bright and early for their daily races,
going nowhere, going nowhere.

And their tears are filling up their glasses,
no expression, no expression.

Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow.
No tommorrow, no tommorrow.

And I find it kind of funny,
I find it kind of sad.
The dreams in which I'm dying,
Are the best I ever had.
I find it hard to tell you,
Cos, I find it hard to take,
when ppl run in circles....
It's a very, very Mad World.

Children waiting for the day they feel good,
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday.

Made to feel the way that every child should,
Sit and Listen, Sit and Listen.

Went to school and I was very nervous,
No one knew me, no one knew me.

Hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson.
Look right thru me, Look right thru me.

It'a a very very very mad World....

SattvicMoon is giving sound wisdom here

You see what you receive in life is a direct reaction of the energies you put out.

Examples to further clarify:
If I worry , worry, worry about a pile of past due bills...
I am attracting more bills my way.

If I veiw these bills as a challenge and act resourcefully to meet and greet this challenge knowing it can be met.
I am attracting solution, resolution, and ultimate results of paying off all my bills.

So you ultimately choose your situations by your own thought patterns.

Eagleman1108,

4's and 8's, destiny and fate!

We must come to understand, that where we are today, is because of all the choices we have made through all our lives, lived here on Earth..A cosmic book of balancing..Life=File..
I am a very positive person, but my life is filled with strife and difficulty, this is my karma, for things done in past lives..I must balance my files, my books...the key is to forgive ALL, not to hold on to any negativity..turn it around, and realize, we chose to come to Earth to experience exactly what we are going through..we are Learning and Growing..Forgive and undertake to do all with LOve, the balance will come, know this, believe it, and do not add to your troubles..
As the advice above says..
I just wanted you to understand, that I know how you feel, and life can be so hard..but it's all for a reason and a season to know..
Sending YOU LOts of LOve and Light and Healing Magic!
And, Sending it to ALL. ...

We are all connected, we are all family!

Eagleman,

Thanks for posting Mad World. That song has long intrigued me, and I finally got to look it up. I was surprised to find out it was originally a Tears for Fears song, though the remake has always had a familiar vibe to it.

Sorry for the loss of your brother. Live for him.

Hmmm.. I love the old Tear for Fears music.. madworld.. that is exactly how it is

Life is hard.. relationships are hard because the struggle forges a stronger bond.

My husband and I have been apart for 7 months now- he's in Germany and before that was deployed to Iraq. We make it work, even though it is so hard to be apart, because we are what the other loves and wants more than anything. Dealing with the struggles is nothing compared to the joy felt knowing we are doing it together.

BUT.. if the two people are ALWAYS struggling, fighting or having major issues- the one needs to ask is it worth it or is the couple trying to force a square peg into a circle?

Hmmm...September is almost here and she will be bringing my handsome Bear home. That is when the real adventure will begin

I struggle because I want to change but my apperance is gang member, I don't want that no more. I have kids now, I have a job, bills that are never ending it seems. I love my wife and kids, but my reality is I live on the indian reservation (a 3rd world country). I leave but I'll always come to my only family , My wife and kids. My sister tried to give her kid to the state but I said NO, and I adopted him when he was 4 months old, even though I wasn't doing to good myself, I can't bear the thought of someone hitting him because there not their kid or because he messes up. I raise my kids with Love. i let them sleep with me because I don't want them to be by themselves
in the dark. I kiss them when they are sleeping and tell them I Love Them. My work schedule is the 2 to 10pm and my wife works days 6 to 2pm so I don't get very much sleep.
My youngest son wakes up at 7 or 8 and even though I'm tired I stay up with him.

I know what tiredness is like....my two woke up a lot for a long time after they were born. It's a lot easier now, but I can understand how tired you must feel.

I don't know why life is such a struggle. Perhaps your wife feels drained in other ways, not just physically? Being drained in other ways can make us feel tired physically also.

If it is any consolation, I feel what you are doing, the way you are quietly carrying on with life and taking such good care of all your children, is nothing short of divine. People like you are the ones who are truly rich. Those who appear to be wealthy on the outside, having an easy life, are the ones who are really poor. An exception to that would be someone like Angelina Jolie, who doesn't seem to have things easy- she cares to much.

Much love to you and your family, Eagleman

I don't know your circumstances. All I can say is that I personally refuse to work at most jobs, instead working for myself, and that helps a lot.

The things that recharge me? Good friends. Not everyone has those, I know, some people just make friends with those who screw them over, stab them in the back, etc. Having good friends is very important to me because in sharing our pain and struggles, our pain is lessened, and we do that for each other. Meanwhile, our happiness and joy are increased with the sharing. This can be a success, just sharing a smile, or even watching a funny movie together; whatever it is, the joy and happiness grows in being shared, just as the pain is lessened by being shared. That helps with making life a joy to live rather than a struggle to endure.

Also, bonding with nature. For me, that includes surfing, and windsurfing. It also includes things like this:
http://www.e-sheep.com/rave/
(It seems to be down at this time, but basically it means just going out to watch the stars and appreciate the miracle and beauty that is in life--and to me, contrasting it with the ugliness only makes the beauty that much more beautiful.)

Likewise, doing things that are fun and take concentration can make the problems of the world fade away and thus I am refreshed when I do such things (for me this can be surfing, skateboarding, sparring, the shooting sports, archery, or even liquiding or glowsticking).

Creating things can also help us vent and express our emotions, be it a poem or story or song or candles, clothes, a book case (especially with your own designs), and this includes taking something and changing it into something else (if you're interested in this, and doing it for money, check the 700s and first half of the 800s at the library).

Exercise of various kinds also helps to burn up the adrenaline trapped in the system which wears down our system that deals with it (because adrenaline, if not used, turns into a toxin that the body must get rid of and that makes you tired, depressed, etc).

Anyway, just sharing.

Eagleman, look inside, you already know the answer. You should strive to make you art help you. Creating is very healing and maybe profitable.

What make a real good friend?
The only friends I have only want me to fight for there cause.

My brother-in-law say's "the greatest advantage in life is have a friend who'll under-estimates your virtues and an enemy who over estimates your faults. The Godfather by Mario Puzo.

If you want a friend you have to be a friend. A friend is someone who understands you but loves you anyway.

I have to go to work, but I will write more later.
