Xodian~ I'm borrowing my friend's x-box this year while he's in Iraq. I don't really have any money to buy games... I've been playing my boyfriend's games. lol Otogi and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic so far. I'll see if he has Castlevania... vampire game, right? I could geuss. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm going to buy my own stuff once I get some cash. I'm trying to update myself! haha I used to play Street Fighter and Golden Axe and Sonic and Streets of Rage and Mortal Combat... etc. all of that junk back in the day, I beat the game with like all of the characters in Street Fighter... I just kind of got out of it when all of the newer stuff came out... too complicated and too expensive. But my nerdy friends insist that I update myself, so I'm happily doing it.
...God, I am a nerd too... *slaps forehead*

BUCKETHEAD!!! Holy crap, that guy is insane. I don't know if any of you are familiar with Dragon Force, but I think they're impressive and i'm not even that into shred and speed metal.

The solo from the song.... this is really cool, it shows their hands while they're playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x96hXWAWtSM

A bit of offtopicness folks... Forgiveness please Lol!

Ah coolness . To tell you the truth I am not a big RPG (Role play game genere) fan; I am more of a live action/shooter/strategy/Driving kinda person Lol! But role play games are usually a hit amoung the ladies.

Oh Yeah.... Castlevania is a Vampire game Lol! I decided that since you're already a gamer at heart, you would want something a bit less childish yet at the same time not something wayyy over the top on the gory side. Castlevania is a great action adventure game.

A little preview of what you can expect from the game:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKdjcAMEaSw

Oh and nothing wrong with being a nerd at all Lol! People can't seem to distinguish the difference between nerds and geeks which is totally uncalled for IMO:

Defination of a nerd as defined by Urban Dictonary :

quote:
Nerd:

A person who gains pleasure from amassing large quantities of knowledge about subjects often too detailed or complicated for most other people to be bothered with.

Often mistaken for Geeks, who aspire to become nerds, yet lack the intelligence, and end up giving nerds a bad name due to their poor social skills.

Non-nerds are often scared of nerds, due to their detailed knowledge, and therefore seemingly high levels of intelligence - and subsequently denegrate them as much as possible as often as possible.

Nerds exist covertly within the fabric of society, often choosing to 'nerd it up' in private or in the company of fellow nerds. It is for this reason they are feared the most - unlike geeks, who are easily identified, nerds can only be found out when casual conversation reaches a subject that they like nerding.

Yep, I'm a nerd. lol Love the definition.

Castlevania looks fun, and my boyfriend does have it! But only for N64. I only have x-box.
Yeah... RPGs are pretty cool, but I like to have the chance to beat the crap out of something.

LOL AG..... pretty much. I've got the whole pasty, skinny, dark hair thing going on..... now all I need is a pocket protector and some fish aquarium glasses.

That's a neat link HD, thanks. I've been meaning to learn some new scales.

Oh Lol! I think you're thinking about the more classic 2D version of Castlevania since the one I am talking about (i.e. Curse of Darkness) is for X-box and PS2 only .

RPGs usually have wonderful storylines! but lose out overall in game play unfortunately. As you said it yourself; Not much overall interactivity Lol!

But Ontopic (and speaking of games at the same time .):

The gaming industry now currently hires well-known bands to do some of their ingame music and theme songs.

Here is one by Cold entitled "With my Mind." (Those aren't fan of heavy metal may not wanna click Lol!) The song was made for the game called "Psyops."

Being a nerd simply means the general public is jealous.
Just went over 'On A Plain' and 'Big Long Now' by Nirvana. The feeling of understanding I get is the reason I play guitar...(plus the fact his structures are simple but very effective.)
Thinking of taking music composition this semester but everyone says the class is a ***** . Hmm, better than algebra!

I agree Whalewasp... they are jealous because they don't understand our level of coolness. lol Nerds are sexy.
Yeah, I think I'll steer clear of music classes. Though you're right, just about anything is better than math classes.

I know what you mean... I've always passed all of my math classes with an A, but it still scares me just looking at a math problem. Intimidating numbers, indeed I say good sirs. I'm pretty sure that math was just intended as another product of terrorism from the Middle East.
lol... Most politically incorrect statement ever.

BoE, you outta be grateful for Arabic numerals. Imagine still using Roman numerals!

Anyone up on Trevor Rabin's playing? I really like his work on Yes' '90125'.
