How would this relate to peer pressure and conformity?In general, doing what others say you should do, dress as they say you should dress, parrot what others say you should parrot, imitate the habits that others say you should imitate is seeking union over separation. OTOH, this is almost always leads to exclusion of anyone who doesn't take part in the collective anthill, and sometimes downright brutal, even deadly, to those who seek to do their own thing rather than join in the social union. Which means that those in "union" with each other are seeking to separate those who do not conform or become united with the crowd. IP: Logged |
