A few blocks from where I live the police raided a drug house. When they entered they found an 18 month old baby dead. It seems the baby had laid there dead for some time. At first they thought it was due to ingesting drugs. But it turned out that the baby had died from starvation. This happened in my neighborhood and I didn't even know there was a drug house or that a baby was suffering so horribly. How could those living close by not notice? That baby must have cried horribly for hours from hunger before it became so weak it could not cry out. Then I think if the baby was never fed or given water the baby's diapers were never changed, the baby was never bathed. The baby was never held and given love. What kind of human beings could do this to a baby and then after the child died just let it lie there like that? Lower animals treat their young better than that. Is this what our society is coming to? It just seems to get crazier and crazier all the time. Sorry but I had to let this out. I feel sick from hearing this. IP: Logged |

The icon above should have been this one! -sorry for any disrespect... This is absolutely atrocious!!! Sick and sad do not even begin, to describe the feelings I'm experiencing now...
Mirandee...Oh Mirandee! I have really no words to share that can bring solace or justice to this terrible event... My prayers are being sent, even as I write this... This beautiful gift, oHhhhhhhhh! Treated like a peice of trash lying on the floor and helpless... Baby is being nurtured now, of this I'm certain! Oh Mirandee, my heart aches... Life is SOooooooooooooo precious!!!!!

This is horrid.Sick and wrong- and unfortunately, all too common these days. Perhaps I shouldn't say "these days." Go to any old cemetary, and you can read the crumbling tombstones of infants who died too soon. It is tragedy, at any point in time. MK IP: Logged |

oh my! this is in deed horrible, I can't imagine drugs can do something like this to a mother.I can see how you may feel like you didn't do your part by listening to the baby cry...I would feel the same way even if there was no way possible for me to hear it. I know I have called many times 9-11 or the cops on "issues" I have seen where other people just decide to look away or not look. I'm sorry for that baby. Where there any other kids?

Mirandee,I understand how you feel, having something so tragic, and terrible happen so close to home. You think that something so terrible could not possibly happen in your neighborhood and so close to home. I know, beacuse we had a home invasion/robbery/rape up our street this summer. We were shaken up for weeks. We had the SWAT team and numerous law enforcement officers block off our street and we were on lockdown. It is really scarey when tragic things happen. It could have been any of our houses that the perpetrator chose. Lately we have numerous reports of attempted child kidnappings and rapes in my county, and in the SF Bay Area. There are many incidents where babies and children are left neglected and abused all over the world. It is really sad. In Thailand and Cambodia, children as young as 6 months are used as sex slaves. Some of them are even shackled and confined to rooms. This is a very, very sick world we live in. Just know that the baby is no longer suffering; he or she is in the Spirit World, surrounded by loving, healing, beautiful energy, with angels and other beings of Light. IP: Logged |

. This just breaks my heart. I who have had over 26 miscarriages and stillbirths would have happily taken that baby had they had a way to give it to me. What blows my mind are those who do this to babies because of video games, like this one: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19855372/ At least the hardcore use of drugs can dull the senses, but how does one ignore that shrieking of babies and beggings of toddlers because they're so into a video game? How do they tune that out? It blows my mind. And I wonder how much the parents fed and cleaned themselves, too... There's also the vegan parents, who I guess were just too stupid for words (and I understand that milk isn't vegan, but I thought vegans considered a mother's milk OK--certainly not animal cruelty to breast feed your own child). Hopefully, they'll never have children again: http://www.news4jax.com/news/13286030/detail.html IP: Logged |

I agree Dervish. And why didn't the mother just nurse the poor little thing? Stupid people like that should be sterilized. And starved for awhile. ------------------ "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell is afraid I'll take over and start a rehab for the damned!" ~Judgement Must Be Balanced With Compassion~ ~Do Not Seek Wealth From The Suffering, Or The Dire Needs Of Others~ ~Assumption Is The Bane Of Understanding~ ~ if you keep doing what you did, you'll keep getting what you got.~ Everything changes.
