A little while ago I came across an old magazine I'd misplaced (Newsweek, April 15, 2002) and flipped through it to remind myself why I'd gotten it to begin with. And I came across an ad for Clarinex (aka desloratadine). And here, emphasis added by me, is part of the ad: quote: CLARINEX helps protect your body's receptors from histamine. You can wake up with your symptoms under control and enjoy 24 hours of nondrowsy seasonal allergy relief.Side effects are similar to sugar pill, including sore throat, dry mouth, fatigue, and drowsiness
Is it normal for a nondrowsy antihistamine to have side effects of fatigue and drowsiness? IP: Logged |

I have never taken any kind of antihistamine that did not make me feel fatigued and drowsy. Not even the ones that claim they are non-drowsy. So unless my allergies and sinuses are acting up very badly I don't take them. IP: Logged |
