I can't help but pity some of the fools that forward this stuff: so credulous. And at times, even scared. Some will forward emails because they REALLY believe that they or someone close to them will suffer or die if they don't. It's sad.Though once I played something of a mean prank. I don't know what kind of effect it had. I just hope that the person was really an adult as claimed on the profile as I'd feel bad if it were say a 12-year-old. Anyway, she posted about how someone died horribly and if you didn't forward this 3 times, that her spirit would rise up tonight and haunt you for 20 years. She apologized for posting it, but she was scared that it was going to happen, so she "had no choice."
I replied to her that it's tragic that she hadn't got the memo: that the forwarding of these emails weren't letting her spirit RIP and that she took her vengeance in killing everyone who forwarded it, and the offender's spirit was forced to then haunt the internet as spam for 20 years. It was too late for her (so get her affairs in order if she was still alive long enough to read this), but others had to be warned to NOT forward it.
I hope at the very least it might've prevented others from being spammed. Though I wonder how many quickly forwarded it and THEN read my reply.
