I know men who are sensitive. caring yet strong.
And are not always thinking of sex or food;
and some are into intellectual matters, etcetera, not sports!
And women who detest shopping and dresses and
Oprah, and girly shoes...yadda yadda yadda.

Interesting term! But why Alpha?
That is usually a term to indicate Aggressive not passive or submissive. In other words Ultra Macho!
And a Jock is into sports.
Please enlighten me on your definition and why Alpha?
Or is it like in "one" or "first" or the standard definitions of Alpha?
Forgive me...I love analyzing concepts. I just get touchy over stereotyping even jokingly.

Actually Fayte, the term Apha is a biological term describing a leader of a pack . Usually, pack hunters have one Alpha male or female and that term was just adapted to represent the Macho POV.Well to me, an Alpha has to show more then just an all out grunt fest to prove his "Apha"ness so to speak. The modern world demands a peak examplary position in both mind and body. Thus is best that a guy pumps Iron in one hand and brushes up on his Periodic table with the other . IP: Logged |

Well, yes I do admit that I was talking to you, Fayte. Although I don't think I have to tell you or anyone else that. I think I made that quite obvious without coming out and directly saying it. I think everyone on this thread knows that you were the only one to use the thumbsdown smilie in a post on this thread. It is pretty much common sense who I was referring to. It was quite obvious to everyone who read it who I was referring to. Sometimes things are just common sense and so obvious they don't have to be said directly for others to know who or what you are talking about. I have a lot of respect for the intelligence and intuitiveness of the members of LL. I don't feel I have spell everything out to them in detail. Or you either for that matter. You know me not to be a wuss, Fayte. But I am guessing you wish I were.  quote:
