FYI, I'm going to have to be more strict in the enforcement of the Rules everyone agrees to upon signing up. That doesn't mean there will never be any conflict. Linda had a way with words (one of the best writers I've ever seen), but she would just as eloquently blast those she felt deserved it, so I don't want this site to be mindless by any means, but just try not to personally insult others while expressing your opinions. I allow a little more heated discussion in Global Unity, but I want to keep it isolated solely to that Forum. In the other Forums, say anything you want, but don't insult. Play nice. The Mods can sometimes get into it as well, and that's because we are all human. Plus, this site is freakin' huge and adding several new Members a day, so things can be expected to get heated at times. I will be fair and try to give warnings if possible...but racist comments, extreme profanity, physical threats of harm, and pornography will result in immediate dismissal. Not that we have a big problem with any of that. Just clarifying the Rules. And that goes double for those who preach Love and Light elsewhere and then come here to stir the proverbial pot.

HSC, I must say that I find many of your Posts to be constructive and that, although you joined in on the fray in one of those blow-ups, I also believe in second chances and would like to offer you back your Modship, if you want it (but maybe a different Forum).

How many registered members are there?

How many active members are there?

How many GB of space does this site take up?

Curiously yours,

LOL.

Sass'd by the webmaster.

I am pwned.

As far as enforcing the rules goes. Can't people just create a new SN when they get banned?

Yes and no. Yes, up to the time that I get tired of being so accomodating, and then I just ban their IP. Then they have to use a different computer, and I can keep banning. Luckily, it hasn't gone that far. We have one that keeps coming back and plays nice at first and then goes back into attack mode.

If they want to be here that bad, they have no life.

Randall

Is good to hear many registering, but I don't think there's a need to know how many members we have, BR...

HSC, yes, you should come back and moderate.

I don't think that someone being attached to a specific messageboard is a sign that they have no life. I think that is pretty blunt, and doesn't take into consideration the depth of every human life. Everyone has a life, and everyone has their own lessons to learn, isn't that what Linda taught?

I"m sure we don't need to know anything silverstone, but what's wrong with being curious?

Is this some arcane, esoteric knowledge that the masses aren't ready for?

I beg to differ, BR. If I have a trouble-maker who ceasingly keeps re-registering upon being banned, and that person truly has nothing better to do than that, that's not much of a life, is it? What would Linda say about that? Who knows. I'm not Linda. I have my opinion, though. And I believe I expressed it.

I appreciate the offer, Randall,
but it holds no appeal for me, atm.
Thanks anyway. Maybe next time?

God Bless,
HSC

One of the mods here suggested I should be a mod, and I read someone's joke here about modship, and this image appeared in my mind and kept making me laugh. I felt similar to Galadriel when Frodo offered her the ring.

Just for more clarification's sake, is the promotion of another site against the rules? What are the guidelines there?

We just had issues with two or three people recently that dealt, in part, with the promotion of another site. In the past there have been issues regarding solicitation as well. I don't think Randall minds any other site, or for that matter people going to any other site, but there have been words and offense caused because of different forums and solicited services.

I don't suspect that there would be any offense to news articles in GU [advocating, perhaps, the reading of media]. Nor do I suspect there would be any offense taken to someone pointing out where a person can get their astrological chart done [which in some cases could incur cost]. The other areas I mentioned I'm not so sure of, though.

I think the issue is a personal issue dealing with respect, loyalty, intention, and friendship. And I think we all know the answer in our hearts.

I also believe that whatever is meant to pass will pass and whatever is meant to remain or return will also, and at the most perfect moment.
